Is The 2022 Jeep® Compass Scheduled To Make Its Debut Next Month?

Compact SUV, To Debut Updated Look In China...

Over the past several months, we have been getting a good look at the upcoming 2022 Jeep® Compass as it has been testing around the globe. The updated Compass is a huge piece of the puzzle for the iconic SUV brand, as it continues to grow in sales in several markets. But thanks to our sources, we are hearing that we will be getting our first look at the 2022 model in about a month.

According to several of our sources, it sounds like Jeep is planning to show the public its updated Compass at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in Guangzhou, China. The event is scheduled to take place from November 22nd to December 1st. Since the press conference schedule has not been posted yet, we don’t know the exact date of the Jeep press conference.

The event should also mark the official announcement that the electrified Compass 4xe will be available in the Chinese marketplace for 2022. Currently, the Compass 4xe is only available in select areas of the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) region and is said to be one of four plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models that the brand will be selling in China in 2022. The Compass 4xe will join the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe, compact Renegade 4xe, and the Commander PHEV (which should be getting the 4xe nameplate after its update in 2022).

The 2022 Jeep Compass will feature updated exterior styling, blending the compact SUV with some of the styling cues found on the upcoming 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL). We have been able to get a tease of the new front styling thanks to spy shots of the 2022 model testing on Italian roads. It appears that the headlights look similar to the styling of the current Cherokee (KL) model.

When it comes to the interior, spy photos have shown us that the instrument panel will get a heavy revision. This will include the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment software, as well as a fully digital gauge cluster on select models.  Expect the Compass to adopt the latest  L2 (or Level 2) autonomy, which allows the vehicle to feature advancements like highway assist, traffic jam assists, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, active blind-spot assist, and driver attention alert.
