In Case You Missed It: FCA US @ the 2023 New York International Auto Show

Ram, Jeep®, and Chrysler Highlight The New York Show...

Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) had a very busy on the floor of the 2023 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). Ram kicked off the day full of press conferences with its official reveal of the upcoming all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV pickup. It would be followed up with a press conference just before lunch, that would show us the highly-anticipated mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Jeep® Wrangler (JL).

For those of you, who couldn’t participate in watching the reveals, we have you covered. 

2025 Ram 1500 REV –

The Ram 1500 REV is set to provide customers with the automotive industry’s best combination of range, towing, payload, and charge time.

The all-electric Ram REV will be offered in two choices: a standard 168 kWh battery pack with a targeted range of up to 350 miles (563 km) or an optional 229 kWh large battery pack that will have a targeted range of an amazing 500 miles (805 km). The 800-volt architecture allows REV to add up to 110 miles (177 km) of range in approximately 10 minutes with DC fast-charging at up to 350 kW.

When it comes to performance, REV will stand out with a tow rating of up to 14,000 lbs. (6,350 kg) and a payload rating of up to 2,700 lbs. (1,225 kg). REV’s electric drive modules (EDMs) will deliver a combined rating of 654 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of torque. All of that power and instant torque will allow REV on a full charge to hurdle itself from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds. And to top it off, if you are going to take your REV off-road, it will have 24 inches of water-fording capability.

Ram also showed off its new ultra-premium Tungsten trim, which will now highlight an amazing 23-speaker premium Klipsch audio system, passenger touchscreen, and massaging seats, amongst other premium amenities. The Tungsten will join a full lineup of REV models including Tradesman, Big Horn (Lone Star in Texas), Laramie, and Limited. There is no word yet, about a Rebel model.

2024 Jeep® Wrangler –

The updated 2024 Jeep® Wrangler, the most capable and recognized vehicle in the world, builds on its legendary history with an unmatched combination of off-road capability, authentic Jeep design, open-air freedom, advanced powertrains, superior on- and off-road dynamics, and a host of innovative safety and advanced technology features.

A refreshed exterior is present with a new seven-slot grille, windshield-integrated trail-ready stealth antenna, 10 all-new wheel designs, and multiple open-air freedom options, including the exclusive Sky One-Touch powertop. The interior is more refined thanks to new technology and amenities, including available 12-way power-adjustable front seats, an all-new instrument panel featuring Uconnect 5 system with best-in-class 12.3-inch touchscreen radio, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Wrangler Rubicon models add even more legendary 4×4 capability with an available factory-installed 8,000-lb.-capacity Warn winch, up to 100:1 crawl ratio, and new Dana 44 HD full float solid rear axle that allows for tire upsizing by customers and up to 5,000-lb. maximum towing.

Wrangler now delivers standard first- and second-row side-curtain airbags, standard forward collision warning (Sport S and above) and standard advanced cruise control with stop (Sport S and above).

Chrysler Partners With Autism Society of America –

 

Chrysler and the Autism Society of America announced a new long-term partnership initiative that supports the driving needs of individuals with autism and their loved ones, including through the creation of a new Calm Cabin package that can transform any Chrysler Pacifica into a sensory-supported mobile experience.

The announcement coincides with April’s Autism Acceptance Month, as well as the Autism Society’s fifth annual Celebrate Differences campaign.

A 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Limited on display at the New York International Auto Show, features branded Autism Society vehicle graphics, and also serves as a showcase for the brand’s new Calm Cabin package, which helps those with autism feel calm, safe and comfortable.

Available in late spring through Chrysler’s online merchandise retail store, the Chrysler-branded package includes:

  • Seat-back organizer with adjustable straps, five front pockets, interior clear pocket that holds a tablet computer and a black mesh pocket
  • Rechargeable, cordless Bluetooth meditative light and sound therapy machine that fits in the center pocket of the seat-back organizer with five LED color modes, four light therapy modes, breathing coach and 15 sound therapy modes
  • Comforting seat belt sleeve with soft-touch velvet feel
  • Comforting soft-touch travel pillow
  • Comforting, seven-layer, 12-pound weighted sensory blanket

Items available as part of the Calm Cabin package will also be available for purchase separately.
