In the world of digital automotive artistry, few names stand out like Abimelec Arellano, known online as @AbimelecDesign. His latest creation, a reimagined Dodge Magnum based on the all-new 2025 Dodge Charger, has caught the attention of enthusiasts and stirred up nostalgia for a model that once roared through the streets between 2005 and 2008. This time, however, the twist is a modern upgrade that enthusiasts have been clamoring for—a HELLCAT-powered version of the Magnum.
The Dodge Magnum, originally a wagon variant of the Charger, was discontinued in 2008 to make way for the revival of the Challenger. Despite its short production run, the Magnum left an indelible mark, especially among those who appreciated the blend of muscle car performance with wagon utility. In Abimelec’s hands, the Magnum is back, not just as a simple reboot, but as a powerful beast fitted with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8.
This digital creation isn’t your typical new Charger design. Instead, Abimelec has transformed the sedan into a sleek, aggressive wagon. The artist has captured the essence of what a modern-day Dodge Magnum could be if Dodge decided to bring it back with the heart of a HELLCAT under the hood. The render combines the contemporary styling of the 2025 Charger with the timeless practicality of a wagon, resulting in a vehicle that looks both futuristic and familiarly muscular.
However, there is one notable aspect of this design that, while visually appealing, might raise some eyebrows in terms of practicality—the inclusion of the R-Wing. On the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, the R-Wing serves a functional purpose, helping with aerodynamics since there’s no engine up front. But with a HELLCAT engine powering this imagined Magnum, the need for traditional airflow to cool the supercharged HEMI® is paramount. In reality, the R-Wing might have to be replaced with more conventional air intakes to ensure the engine stays cool under pressure.
While the return of wagons hasn’t gained significant traction in recent years, the new Charger’s hatchback design has shown that there is still a demand for vehicles that offer a mix of performance and utility. A Magnum revival, especially one with HELLCAT power, could appeal not only to enthusiasts but also to law enforcement agencies looking for a Pursuit model with the ability to carry additional gear while maintaining high-speed capabilities.
Even though this design is purely a product of digital imagination, it sparks an interesting conversation about what could be. Abimelec’s Magnum is a visual treat that seamlessly blends the past and future of Dodge performance.
