Filosa Confirms TRX Return During Stellantis H1 2025 Earnings Call

Ram’s HELLCAT-Powered Apex Predator Is Back On Track

During Stellantis’ H1 2025 financial call, newly appointed CEO Antonio Filosa finally confirmed what many Ram fans have been hoping for—the Ram 1500 TRX is officially coming back.

While outlining the company’s turnaround strategy, Filosa gave investors a preview of what’s to come in the second half of 2025. Among future product launches and margin-boosting moves, he let one major detail slip: “The V8 engine on versions, such as the Ram 1500 TRX, will delivers to us additional volumes but also accredited margins per unit,”Filosa said.

That one sentence confirmed what we at MoparInsiders.com broke back in March—the TRX is returning to the Ram lineup, and it’s coming back with a vengeance.

According to our well-placed sources, production of the 2026 Ram 1500 TRX (Job #1) is set to begin in late January 2026 at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Michigan. While the TRX has yet to be officially revealed, all signs point to a high-performance comeback that will also serve as the first major launch under the newly revived Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division.Ram 1500 TRX, Ram TRX 2026, TRX Comeback, Stellantis CEO, Antonio Filosa, Tim Kuniskis, HELLCAT V8, 6.2L Supercharged, Ram Performance Truck, SRT Revival, Ram 1500 RHO, Ford Raptor R, TRX Production 2026, Ram SHAP Michigan, Performance Pickup Truck, HEMI Returns, Ram TRX Horsepower, American Muscle Truck, Off-Road Pickup, Ram vs Raptor, Stellantis H1 2025, SRT Division, Ram Truck Comeback, Ram 1500 News, Dodge Performance Truck

This isn’t just about another trim level. This is about reclaiming dominance in the off-road performance truck segment. The original TRX stormed the scene in 2021 with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8, pumping out 702 horsepower (523 kW) and shaking up the entire truck industry. But Ford has since fired back, bumping the 2025 F-150 Raptor R to 720 horsepower (537 kW).

If Ram wants the crown back, the next TRX will need more muscle.

That’s where SRT comes in. With former Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis now leading Ram and overseeing the SRT reboot, you can bet performance is back in focus. We’ve already confirmed that HEMI V8 engines will return to the Ram 1500 lineup starting in 2026, and the TRX is expected to raise the bar once again.

Insiders tell us the new TRX will carry over the styling and tech upgrades from the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, but with power aimed squarely at the Raptor R. Expect at least 720 horsepower (537 kW) and a full arsenal of off-road hardware to back it up.

Kuniskis himself hinted at big things coming when he told media at Stellantis’ design dome in Auburn Hills, “There’s more to come before we hit the track in Daytona.” From what we know, the TRX is a huge piece of that puzzle.

While Stellantis faces headwinds globally, bringing back the TRX could give Ram the spark it needs to reignite excitement—and deliver real profits.

I see this as great news for Ram. I do question how many units will be built, and will it really make a difference in the sales department. With that being said will this get people in the showroom and creat sales of other model Ram trucks?
I understand this is really wanted by Mopar enthusiasts and it will be a great addition to the Ram line up. I fell Ram should be spending more time on getting a Rampage to the market, which will probably sell more units than the TRX and get more truck buyers in the showrooms.
