FIAT Launches Affordable Grande Panda Hybrid Across Europe
A Stylish, Electrified B-Segment Hatchback Ready for Urban Life

FIAT is making waves in Europe with the official launch of the Grande Panda Hybrid, a compact, electrified hatchback built for the city but packed with enough attitude to stand out anywhere. Designed in Italy and built on Stellantis’ flexible Smart Car platform, the Grande Panda brings affordable hybrid mobility to the masses—starting at under €19,000 (about $20,500 USD). In Italy, that price drops to €16,950 (approximately $18,300 USD) with scrappage incentives and financing through Stellantis Financial Services Italia.

This new model marks FIAT’s reentry into the heart of the B-segment, targeting urban drivers who want the charm of Italian design, the practicality of a small footprint, and the environmental benefits of hybrid power—without breaking the bank.
A Smart and Efficient Hybrid Powertrain –

At the core of the Grande Panda Hybrid is a 1.2-liter turbocharged I3 engine, paired with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and a 6-speed eDCT automatic transmission. It delivers 110 horsepower and integrates a 21 kW electric motor for smooth starts, stop-and-go traffic, and parking—without needing the gas engine.
Drivers can enjoy short bursts of all-electric driving—up to 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) at speeds below 30 km/h (19 mph). The car also features regenerative braking and improved fuel economy. It’s a clever setup that blends traditional and electric power to maximize efficiency, especially in tight city driving.
Designed in Italy, Built for the World –

With design roots tracing back to the iconic 1980s Panda, the new Grande Panda sports a retro-modern style. Details like pixel-style LED headlights, cube-shaped taillights, and 3D “PANDA” door badging help it stand out. Offered in three trims—POP, ICON, and LA PRIMA—it also shares bold color options with the fully electric version.
At just 3.99 meters (157.1 inches) long, 1.76 meters (69.3 inches) wide, and 1.58 meters (62.2 inches) tall, the Grande Panda is easy to park but big enough inside to seat five. It even fits a generous 412-liter trunk (about 14.5 cubic feet) and provides smart storage solutions throughout.
Packed With Tech and Safety –

The entry-level POP model includes safety features like lane-keeping assist, emergency braking, driver attention alert, cruise control, and a 10-inch digital gauge display. The mid-grade ICON adds a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, LED lights, and available tech, style, and winter packages. The top-spec LA PRIMA brings it all together with 17-inch alloy wheels, premium bamboo-fiber dashboard trim, and additional ADAS features like a rearview camera and front parking sensors.
Connectivity is strong across the board, with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto™, USB-C ports, wireless phone charging, and full app support for vehicle tracking, maintenance alerts, and roadside assistance.
Over 100 Accessories Available –

FIAT has also launched more than 100 official accessories for the Grande Panda, allowing buyers to add personality and practicality with colorful panels, roof bars, eco-friendly accents, and more—designed to match the car’s dual identity as both playful and functional.
A Global Statement –

While there’s no official word yet on a North American release, the Grande Panda Hybrid shows FIAT is serious about reclaiming its spot in the affordable small car market. Compact, stylish, efficient, and priced right, it’s exactly the kind of vehicle many U.S. and Canadian buyers have been hoping would make a comeback.
If the brand wants to grow beyond niche status in America, the Grande Panda might just be the car to do it.
