AUCTION: Supercharged 2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pack Is Up For Grabs!

But You Better Bid FAST, You Have Until Tomorrow...

Tens of thousands of grassroots drag racers across the U.S. and Canada compete in sanctioned events by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and National Muscle Car Association (NMCA) every year. As competition continued to get tighter each year, racers have looked toward modern drag racing versions of today’s muscle cars to take them to victory.

Thanks to the latest safety innovations, technology, and horsepower, all of Detroit’s Big-3 automakers continue to produce limited-production non-street-legal race cars every couple of years.

In 2015, Mopar unveiled the third take on its Challenger Drag Pak program. The 2015 model was optioned with either a supercharged 5.8-liter (354 cubic-inch) HEMI V8 engine or a naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter (426 cubic-inch) Race HEMI V8 engine. This particular car shown features the supercharged HEMI option.

Currently, listed until tomorrow on BringATrailer.com, features a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, Strange Engineering solid rear-axle with 4.11:1 gearing, a set of 15-inch Bogart Racing wheels wrapped in Hoosier drag rubber, Strange Engineering braking system and suspension components, and SFI/NHRA-certified roll cage.

It is very seldom that we see Drag Paks come up for sale, due to their rarity.

The car is finished with the 2015 Challenger Drag Pack graphics associated with the supercharged model. The exterior features include a front lip spoiler, wheelie bar, a Simpson parachute, and a fuel shut-off switch.

Inside, there is a set of racing seats upholstered in Black leather with Red RJS five-point harnesses. Made specifically for drag racing, the car does not have a climate control system, stereo, airbags, or rear seats. The Challenger Drag Pak isn’t for the faint of heart and is not street-legal. The Challenger factory leather-wrapped steering wheel is still there, and the standard gauges are replaced with a RacePak digital dashboard display. Since there is no odometer, the mileage is unknown.

Because the car is not street-legal and doesn’t feature a traditional VIN number or title, it is being sold on a bill of sale.

The car will continue taking bids until Monday, August 15th, 2022, just after 6:00 p.m. EST. Currently, the highest bid as of the writing of this article is $60,000 USD. When the car was available to order in June 2015, the supercharged Drag Pack had a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $109,354 USD.

For more information, you can check out the dedicated bidding page for the car on BringATrailer.com.
