The American performance brand is getting ready to celebrate the July 4th weekend in style with the launch of its new 2021 muscle car lineup, this Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time). The debut comes right between the Canadian and American holidays, as both countries contribute to building the most badass muscle cars on the planet.
The Dodge//SRT brand released a special rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” with sounds of its supercharged HELLCAT and Redeye HEMI® engines. It puts a unique take on the American national anthem, that only the Dodge brand could do.
For several months, we have been showing you two upcoming supercharged vehicles that will be making their debut during the 2021 model year. The first is the long-awaited 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. The 707 horsepower three-row SUV has been caught on the streets of Metro Detroit for the past several months testing. The new vehicle will finally blend the Dodge muscle car lineup with its brute sport-utility brother, that the Dodge brand loves to call “the Charger of SUVs”.
Just yesterday, we announced that the Dodge brand would open up ordering for the new 2021 Dodge Durango lineup next month.
The second vehicle is one that Charger fans have been waiting for, the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye. The 797 horsepower four-door sedan has been absent from the lineup since the debut of the launch of the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and was first caught by MoparInsiders.com spy photographers back in early March, out on the street. Since then, we showed you what lies underneath the camouflage as well as the 717 horsepower 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, running around featuring the same new hood design.
“The sound of a screaming supercharged HEMI is so distinctive that this teaser video doesn’t need a single image … if you know, you know,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Tune in [on] July 2nd to celebrate with Dodge the pursuit of life, liberty, and 8,950 horsepower.”
