Yesterday, we broke the news that Dodge//SRT had opened its Build & Price configurator for the all-new 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Jailbreak Widebody models. This morning, Dodge//SRT has made it official that it has opened the ordering process for both vehicles, unleashing full access to the entire palette of Dodge personalization options and allowing customers to create their own customized performance coupe or sedan.
The SRT Jailbreak models unlock color combinations previously restricted from ordering when choosing a variety of vehicle options, such as seats, wheels, exterior badging and stripes, brake caliper color, and much more. Jailbreak models also provide the key to access exclusive new factory-custom options, such as Hammerhead Grey Laguna leather seats. Output on the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody is increased to 807 horsepower on Jailbreak models by using a revised powertrain calibration, and unique Jailbreak badging is featured on the instrument panel.
So how does the ordering process work?
STEP #1 – Pick A Color –
The first step is two choose 1 of the 14 (1 new color will join the lineup after the new year) exterior colors for your Charger or Challenger SRT Jailbreak model.
STEP #2 – Graphics –
The second step is to choose the graphics package of your choice. There are a number of stripes, graphics, and black paint options for both the Challenger and Charger. Remember, that this ordering process is ala carte, so if you don’t want to add more cost or like the simple look of no decals, you don’t have to. It is your choice.
STEP #3 – Wheels –
The fourth step in the process is to choose from 7 different styles of wheels that Dodge//SRT offers on the SRT Hellcat Redeye. There are 4 different styles, available in several unique finishes. This includes 2 exclusive wheel designs for the SRT Jailbreak models.
STEP #4 – Brake Calipers –
There are 6 different colors you can choose to highlight your Brembo brake calipers on your SRT Jailbreak model. Among the 6 color choices, there are 2 exclusive colors (Yellow and Blue) that can be only found available on the Jailbreak models.
STEP # 5 – Badging –
One way for the world to know that you are driving an 807 horsepower muscle car is by badging. The Hellcat Redeye logos are offered in 3 different styles on the standard models, but for the Jailbreak models, there are 5 options to choose from. This includes a new Brass Monkey and Red finish, exclusive to the Jailbreak.
STEP #6 – Spoilers, Fuel Doors, & Exhaust Tips –
Its all about the details on the SRT Jailbreak models. Challenger customers can choose from two different rear spoiler designs as well as if they want a Satin Black or Chrome fuel door. For Charger customers, they can choose if they want a Body Color or Satin Black rear spoiler and if they want chrome or black exhaust tips.
STEP #7 – Seats –
One of the most important decisions a Jailbreak customer has to make is the seat finish. Do you perfect the more luxurious feel of Laguna Leather? Or how about the sporty look and feel of Nappa Leather with Alcantara? Or do you prefer the classic Houndstooth cloth on Challenger? It’s your choice on Jailbreak.
STEP #8 – Floormats, Seatbelts, & Steering Wheels –
Customers will be able to choose from 4 different floor mat designs, 4 different seatbelt colors (including 2 exclusive to the Jailbreak program), and 4 different types of steering wheels. While Red lit logos have been standard on Hellcat models for the past couple of model years, Dodge is offering a return to the traditional white lit SRT logo as well for the Jailbreak program.
STEP #9 – Interior Finish –
Dodge//SRT is offering 4 different interior bezel combinations on Charger and 5 on Challenger models. The Copper Weave carbon-fiber trim from the Challenger 50th Anniversary models, returns as an exclusive offering for the 2022 model year on Challenger SRT Jailbreak. Customers can also choose from a twill headliner or a Dynamica Suede headliner.
STEP #10 – Additional Options –
Of course, the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Jailbreak models can be equipped with all of the optional features found on SRT Hellcat Redeye models. This includes upgraded Harman Kardon sound systems, 3-season Pirelli performance tires, sunroofs, and even a rear seat delete on Challenger models.
The 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Jailbreak option package is available for ordering through dealerships at a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $995 over the standard SRT Hellcat Redeye. Customers can play with the Jailbreak Build & Price configurator on Dodge.com to build their dream Jailbreak model. But you will have to contact your local Dodge Power Broker to order the car to have it built.
Stay tuned, we will be covering the pre-configured Jailbreak models that the Dodge Design Studio has put together later today.
