Fast & Furious 9 First Official Trailer, Shows Us That Hellcats Can Fly:

We Get A Look At The Lastest Installment Of The New Movie In The Fast Sega...

You might remember that back in September, action superstar Vin Diesel gave us a sneak peek on his Instagram of his latest ride in the ninth chapter in the Fast & Furious franchise. The car raised a lot of questions, featuring a Demon-styled “Air Grabber” hood and wheels while sporting an aftermarket widebody kit. But now, we are getting an even better look at the car and the premise of the latest Fast & Furious entry, thanks to the release of the first official trailer.

Gone are the street racing scenes of yesterday, along with the “Danger to Manifold” screens from laptop programmers riding shotgun and instead we are treated to even more wilder and outlandish stunts involving vehicles than ever before.

The trailer was released as Universal Studios kicked off a massive celebration in Miami, Florida. The studio released the first trailer of the upcoming action movie as part of a huge gathering, as well as host a once-in-a-lifetime concert complete with global superstars such as Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth, and Ozuna performing their biggest hits.

“The heart of the Fast & Furious franchise has always been, and will always be family, and it brings me so much joy that our extended family will be with us to help celebrate the launch of this chapter,” said Vin Diesel. “We are nothing without our ride-or-die fans, and we are thrilled that they will be in Miami to welcome old- and new-school cast and crew, as well as usher in a brand-new era of Fast & Furious.”

It seems that Dom Toretto and his family are going up against Cipher once again, in this latest installment. However, Dom must face off against his long lost brother, Jacob (played by WWE superstar and follow action actor, John Cena). Among the returning cast, we see that Han isn’t dead after all and is returning to help the team put an end to Cipher once and for all.

We do see a brief second where it looks like Dom will be driving another 1970 Dodge Charger in this movie. But this trailer is filled with the car that we saw in Diesel’s Instagram last year. The car appears to be a 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Octane Edition. The limited-edition four-door Hellcat features a bunch of Demon goodies including an aftermarket widebody kit. It also appears that the car will be equipped with nitrous and has no problem launching off of 150-foot plus high cliffs and swinging from ropes from a damaged swinging bridge… we can’t make this stuff up.

The ninth chapter in the more than $5 billion franchise sees the return of stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, and Helen Mirren and is directed by Justin Lin. The film opens across North America on May 22nd, 2020. You can also visit TheFastSega.com to keep up with everything related to the movie upon its release.
