Dodge Launching Challenger T/A Model For The Middle East Market:
Less Than 50 Will Be Sold In The Region...
Dodge has announced that the brand will be launching the retro-themed 2019 Dodge Challenger T/A to the Middle East market for the first time. The American performance brand is releasing less than 50 of the cars to the region, so the cars will be a limited edition collector’s item. But, there is a catch.
The limited-edition car will only be available based on the Dodge Challenger R/T platform. Yup, there is no 6.4-liter HEMI V8 version for the Middle East, as that car continues to stay exclusive to North America. Instead, the Middle East market Dodge Challenger T/A will feature the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8 producing 370 horsepower. The only transmission option will be the ZF-sourced 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic.
Drawing from the brand’s strong racing heritage, the 2019 Dodge Challenger T/A is a homage to the iconic 1970 Challenger T/A (Trans-America), a limited-edition homologation street version of the race car built for the Sports Car Club of America’s Trans American Championship.
From the outside, the design cues from the original 1970s Challenger T/A are instantly recognizable. The Black Satin Painted Hood, Satin Black Wrapped Roof and Decklid, Gloss Black Grille with classic Challenger Script Badge and T/A Bodyside Graphics are the most obvious stylistic tips to the iconic muscle car of the 1970s.
The performance cues come from the prominent hood scoop and Illuminated Air-Catcher® Headlamps, which feed the Mopar Cold Air Intake System that ensures outstanding performance in all driving conditions, as well as the Satin Black Rear Spoiler with the exclusive T/A spoiler decal. Rounding off the tribute with modern-day aesthetics is the eye-catching set of 20-inch x 9-inch Low-Gloss Forged Aluminium Wheels.
The 2019 Dodge Challenger T/A is now available at showrooms across the region. But with a very limited quantity, there are sure to be a hot item.
Ram recently did a similar offering with its 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport pickup as well for the Middle East region.
