SPOTTED: 2023 Maserati Grecale Photos Gives Us More Detail Before Unveiling!

Will Be Unveiled Next Tuesday...

We are only days out from the official unveiling of the 2023 Maserati Grecale. Just the other day, one Instagramer caught one pre-production tester with minimal camouflage parked on the public street. Now, we are getting a better look at the rear of the vehicle thanks to our friend Walter Vayr of GabetzSPYUnit

Embracing the look of its bigger sibling – the Levante, the new Grecale looks a lot more premium than the award-winning Alfa Romeo Stelvio that it is based on. Aimed squarely at premium D-SUV offerings like the Porsche Macan, the new Grecale looks to enter a space in the market that the brand has never been in.

Taken during the day, these new images provided us with an even better look at Grecale’s rear styling. We can see that chrome strip that runs between the Maserati-signature “boomerang” taillights, an element taken from the Levante. We also see those large quad exhaust tips, sticking through the rear diffuser. Like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Grecale will feature a sloped rear window – which we had a problem seeing out of when we drove the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

The photos also show us all of the chrome details featured on the Grecale as well. This includes the thick chrome strip around the daylight opening (DLO), chrome on the top of the new electronic opening door handles, and chrome roof rails.

MoparInsiders.com believes that Grecale will receive a standard mild-hybrid (mHEV) version of the turbocharged 2.0-liter GME-T4 inline-four-cylinder engine from the Levante and Ghibli Hybrid models. In the Levante Hybrid, the engine produces a whopping 330 horsepower and 332 ft.-lb. (450 Nm) of torque at just 2,250 rpm. The Folgore (or Lightning) all-electric powertrain and high-performance Nettuno twin-turbo V6 powertrains, should arrive later.
