SRT Super Stock –
The Direct Connection Stage 2 kit for the HELLCAT Redeye can boost the Super Stock’s power output, just like the Direct Connection Controller did for the SRT Demon, by utilizing a new “high-octane mode” that allows the use of unleaded 100-octane fuel in the Super Stock. The Stage 2 kit pushes the Super Stock’s power output to an impressive 885 horsepower and 787 lb.-ft. of torque. This enhancement even surpasses the power of the Demon, making the Super Stock an incredibly formidable opponent in terms of performance.
The Direct Connect Redeye Stage Kits –
- Direct Connection Tuner (included in Pre-stage Kit) Plug-and-play engine tuner gives enthusiasts the power to upgrade an engine calibration at the touch of a button, plugs into the OBD-II port, and can be used to install factory-tuned, 50-state-legal Stage kit calibrations. Tuner includes a hand-held tuning device and mounting hardware.
- Pre-stage Kit (Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye) Includes the Tuner, a performance air cleaner, and a low temp thermostat. Pre-stage Kit also has a pre-loaded 50-state emissions-legal calibration that adds five horsepower and allows future performance upgrades via downloadable tuning maps.
- Stage 1 Kit (Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye) Features a pivotal code to unlock installation of Stage 1 factory-tuned, 50-state emissions-legal calibration, resulting in a jump to 840 horsepower and 770 ft.-lb. of torque when in high-octane mode. (Requires purchase of Pre-stage kit)
- Stage 2 Kit (Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye) Building on Stage 1 Kit, includes a 3.17-inch “Hellephant” engine pulley and keychain with a key code to unlock installation of Stage 2 factory-tuned, 50-state emissions-legal calibration, which achieves a huge boost up to 885 horsepower and 787 ft.-lb. of torque. (Requires purchase of Pre-stage Kit and Stage 1 Kit)
Installation –
The installation process for the Pre-stage and Stage 1 kits is relatively straightforward. Most of the time is spent on setting up the codes to associate the installed kits with the vehicle on the Mopar side and installing the thermostat.
However, the Stage 2 kit installation process is a bit more involved. It requires the removal of the supercharger lid and snout. In rare cases, there is a list of required service parts, dealer tools necessary for the installation, and shims, which may be needed in the pulley. The installation instructions guide how to measure the installed height of the pulley and determine if a shim is needed (which is sold separately).
