Last month, the Jeep® brand pulled the covers off of its highly-anticipated three-row 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The Grand Cherokee L marks the first time that the Grand Cherokee nameplate will be available with a three-row variant. With production getting ready to kick-off at Stellantis’ new Detroit Assembly Complex – Mack (DACM) on Detroit’s eastside, Jeep has opened up orders for the latest SUV to its U.S. dealers on select models.
Thanks to our dealer connections, we are now learning that the Grand Cherokee L will be initally available in two trim levels (Limited and Summit). The DACM facility will launch the Grand Cherokee L in seven configurations during early production with four of them being for the Limited models and three for Summit.

Jeep will also be launching the Grand Cherokee L Limited in four exteriors which include, Diamond Black (PXJ), Bright White (PW7), Velvet Red (PRV), and Silver Zynith (PSE). More colors should be available production ramps up at DACM.
There is still no word on official pricing as of yet, but we expect pricing for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited should start right around the $45,000 USD mark.
The other model available for dealers to order is the premium Summit model. Now, this does include the Summit Reserve, which is technically a package under the Summit’s options list. For 2021, the Grand Cherokee L Summit includes the following standard features…

Again, initally the Grand Cherokee L Summit models will be available in the same four exterior colors as the Limited. We expect the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit to be priced starting in the high-$50,000 USD range, although Jeep has yet to release official pricing.
Production of the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L will begin rolling off the line at DACM in early March. The first 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L models will begin arriving in dealer showrooms early in the second-quarter. So if you are looking at getting into a Limited or Summit model you won’t have to wait too long. For those waiting to get their hands on a Laredo, Altitude, or Overland models will have to wait a bit longer.
