Jeep® is gearing up to rock the streets of Recife once again, joining the vibrant festivities of Galo da Madrugada, the world’s largest carnival block. For the fourth consecutive year, the iconic brand is set to make its mark, this time with the spotlight on the 2024 Jeep® Renegade, a beloved SUV deeply rooted in Brazilian culture.
Last year, Jeep highlighted the Commander and its 40,000th unit produced at the event (see pictures below).
The Jeep Renegade, a symbol of Brazilian automotive excellence since its debut in 2015, will take center stage at Galo da Madrugada tomorrow, February 10th. Decked out in a stunning custom design by Pernambuco-based designer and illustrator Bel Andrade Lima, the Renegade will proudly showcase colors and motifs that pay homage to the rich cultural tapestry of Pernambuco.
Bel Andrade Lima’s artistic flair extends beyond the Renegade itself. She’s also the creative genius behind an exclusive space within the Galo da Madrugada box, where carnival-goers can immerse themselves in Pernambuco’s carnival spirit. This Instagrammable area promises selfie-worthy moments with Pernambuco carnival masks and characters, alongside the festively adorned Renegade.
Manufactured at the Stellantis Automotive Pole in Goiana, Pernambuco, the Renegade holds a special place in the hearts of Brazilians. It was the inaugural model produced at the facility, marking a significant milestone in the region’s automotive industry. Boasting robust performance and versatility, with the most potent engine in its class and 4×4 capability, the Renegade has captured the imaginations of over 550,000 proud owners across Brazil.
Attendees of the brand’s box will receive gifts from the Vem Pra Roda project, an innovative circular economy initiative. This collaboration, celebrating two years of partnership, sees waste materials from automotive production transformed into stylish fashion products. With over 24 tons of reusable materials repurposed to date, including leather, rubber, and seat belts, Vem Pra Roda exemplifies the fusion of environmental stewardship and creativity.
