What is SRT working on...?

It was in their 2014 5 year plan as the journey replacement with an SRT version included as well
Yeah, I remember that. But so was a Dart SRT. Is there an real vehicle coming? Would we have known by now approaching 2021 model year?

Personally I don't think anything is coming from SRT at the moment unless its one of the new Jeeps. What I posted was wishful thinking at best

Where you at where 87 is premium?

I got it for a "steal" on Friday at $1.09/l - it's dropped 8 cents a liter since Wednesday

It could essentially be a re-born magnum but not so large and low like the magnum was. It doesn't have to be trail rated or do anything of the off-road sort either. Just a 4dr D-CUV with AWD, very good looks and a performance Dodge heritage. It would be a working mans version of the Stelvio Quad, GLC 63AMG, X3 M and RS variants. Kinda a no brainer if you ask me as its the hottest segment and I am certain would dethrone the grand cherokee as SRT's best selling vehicle in its first year on sale.

As Triple T said, track cars (mustang and camaro chasing after ((and beating)) the BMW M4 etc) meanwhile this would appeal to a MUCH larger audience and could be used year round in the north east.

Sounds perfect to me!

A fun all around daily driver!

No POWER STEERING.

Try parking a car with 305’s!

Power steering can be made to function really well. The ACR is a prime example.

@Muther
You have mentioned SuperSlant6 in a couple of threads now.
I suppose this is the version that put the light off of the 426 Banshee

GME-T6

Global Medium Engine
Turbo In-line Six
3.0L

One version will be 350ish hp/ft-lbs

There is likely to be at least one more version. A very healthy version. I expect it to outpower the 5.7 by a fair margin.

So not enough power to render the yet-to-come 426 absolute

From what we have heard from the insiders the 426 is pretty much dead at this point if it even made it far enough along in the first place

I’m just trying to convince myself that it is coming
Beside, I read 426 was delayed or pushed back

IMO unless that debuts in the new grand cherokee (it already missed the 2019 Ram) its just a next gen Alfa Romeo / Maserati engine

I think the new Grand Cherokee will be the first to show the new GME-6TT

2021 Grand Cherokee prototype, single exhaust from the engine back meaning this particular prototype is powered by GME-T6 which will be an online 6.

As for the 426 our sources are saying it's dead, one one the reasons is that the high output version of GME-T6 outpowers the target number for the 426.

If I remember correctly, the target number for the 426 was 520+hp.
When GME-T6 High-Output comes out with this number, it would put it directly against BMW M3/4 Competition models.

But, I sure hope a NA 392 would still be offered .

SRT is definitely working some sticker packages to carry these cars into the 2030s. AN SRT HELLCAT DAYTONA RT SCAT PACK SE model will be with us soon enough.

Probably just the 2.0L turbo. If they put it in the 4300lb wrangler unlimited, its going in the new GC.

My above statement was not relative to that picture.

Monsters lurk!

(Also an independent statement.)

Not with an exhaust pipe that size, GC is debuting GME-T6.
You do have a point, (but how big is the exhaust on the 2.0T in comparison) I am still extremely skeptical. It has missed the ram and the new wrangler (naturally assuming an NA version will replace the 3.6L in RWD applications and what a way to re-intro an I6 than in the new wrangler!), so an all new investment I6 is only going to be used in the new GC and GW?

The “Hemi” lives on!

But in what flavors?
Hellcat is too powerful and a little out of my range
5.7 is just not the powerful for me.
And we know 392 was supposed to be replaced by the 426 which is now shelved.
