The Iconic Jeep® Wagoneer Nameplate Returns For 2022 Model Year:

This Isn't Your Father Or Grandpa's Wagoneer...

After a hiatus of 30 years, the iconic Jeep® Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer nameplate has returned. It comes over a decade wait since Jeep announced its intentions to bring the nameplate back to its portfolio of sport-utility vehicles. The new Wagoneer duo comes into the 21st century with a whole new outlook and agenda, so … (read full article...)

The exterior isn't the most eye catching, but Jeep designers are crushing it on interiors lately. This definitely looks luxurious and the attention to detail is top notch. Hopefully, all this trickles down to the other models in the lineup. Jeep could eventually on the same level as Range Rover.

I would dispute the opinion on how the entry level Wagoneer will be received by devotees, there should be no hesitation by the fan base in renewing their bond with such a beautiful and perfectly executed vehicle. The name alone should be enough to evoke fond memories, but the whole design and level of luxury, as well as the market has changed and that this effort by Jeep to exceed the competition with a classic namesake should be tribute enough for diehards. I doubt that the old design elements would be missed if it is a vehicle that is to be driven and enjoyed is your goal, for which most would be drawn to the Wagoneer. On the other hand, the Wagoneer and more so the Grand Wagoneer has clearly put Jeep in the Premium class of SUVs and owning one will send a message that a whole new affluent demographic is joining the Jeep Experience and that your new Jeep is more than an SUV, it’s a “Wagoneer”.

Wagoneer Series III interior

I will say that having the 10" screen in a 12" space looks a little weird.

But I like that I see "buttons" (maybe capacitive?) on the sides of the center screen for seat controls.

This isn't a vehicle that I'm personally interested in, but other than a rather bland exterior (IMO) the interior looks amazing, and I'm excited to see more trickle down to the rest of the lineup.

I am of the opinion that the Wagoneer is far better looking and indeed classier than the rather ostentatious Grand Wagoneer. A Wagoneer in Series111 trim represents the pinnacle of understated luxury as far as I can see. Unfortunately, it will be some time before they hit the UK, if ever.

Don't anyone get mad, but there is a lot of Alfa in that interior the way the leather portion of the dash wraps around and meets the wood trim, if you understand the new way they tool this it can be wood or other kinds of laminate.

But very nice either way

I wish Jeep would keep the trims across the entire lineup this simple, instead of the insane number they usually come up with.

Does anyone else see how with a Ram front clip and new hatch how easy it would be to have a Ram Charger

Yeah, this could be a Ram or Chrysler SUV with new front and rear clips

Except if they use that name, it really still has to be a Ramcharger (one word) to avoid having the same name in two brands, even if it is duplication ("Ram Ramcharger"). Treat it as a standalone in marketing (such as "Guts, Glory, Ramcharger!" with "Ram" not stated alone as redundant and unnecessary). Absolutely nobody will be confused.

That screen looks very poorly executed. Like the smaller size was an afterthought.

I still say there's not enough difference between Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer to justify the price. They look almost identical and nobody but enthusiasts will be able to tell them apart. Heck, I have a hard time telling them apart already. Like I said before, people who spend this much on an SUV want everyone to know how much they spent. They aren't going to want a vehicle that looks exactly like its lower-class sibling.

Take the TRX frame, and front clip, Drive train .... Use the SIde panels, Restyle the rear hatch.

Abra-Cadabra POOOFFFF RAMCHARGER TRX

We will see, I already hearing how much nicer the Grand is.... person who spent a week with one said it is incredible.

But did they also spend a week with the regular Wagoneer to compare? I'm betting it's just as incredible. I don't know, I don't see the $30k price difference between the two being justified anywhere.

Fancy screens and what not... don't forget everyone is buying into a $10k premium because it is a Jeep product too. Just wait 5 years, all this stuff will trickle down to the lesser models too.

Even the passenger screen is available on both the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
