Stellantis Mexico had an outstanding February 2025, reporting total sales of 7,110 units across its diverse brand lineup. Leading the charge was Ram, with 2,835 units sold — a 59% year-over-year increase and the brand’s best February performance ever.

No disrespect to our Southern neighbors, but even Mexico seems to have their product rollouts and product focus and mix down better than we do in North America. Goes to show you what clear thinking local perspectives can do to improve sales and profits. Perhaps a lesson to be learned.
I just mailed in my Stellantis shareholders proxy vote for its annual meeting and it certainly suggest that management does not reflect enough American participation or influence. Neither shockingly does the presence of compensation changes unreflective it seems of the gross mismanagement of the company or its financial performance that might offer consolation to one about share prices. I guess the board room is too lofty from reality as these little operations, dismissed or ignored I’m sure by some, show the big boys how it’s done. Better, must be done.
The status quo, rubber stamp attitude I interpret suggest facts and outcomes have not produce a lesson to be learned in these circles. I did my part in voting, hopeful it sends a message along with the one from Mexico. Objection delivered.

The only thing to be noted here is
Peugeot was the number one seller!
Either bring them to North America or make them Chrysler's

Huge mistake for Stellantis to go upscale with pricing on the U.S. product line. There are no price point leaders to get people in the Dealer's Showrooms.

When greed exceeds common sense, led by a greedy egotist, bad things follow. It will take years to get people back in showrooms who have been alienated and scammed. Dodge-Jeep need price point stuff.
Counter point: Believe the upscale Wagoneer brand was a smart move yet pricing was too ambitious.
Believe a revised Chrysler brand can price a bit over Dodge and Jeep and spin off some of their vehicles that rival luxury brands foreign or domestic.

You have it backwards. They took (stole) a Chrysler and made into a Peugeot. From the cowl back, the latest Peugeot 5008 appears to be something which was supposed to be a Chrysler. There was scheduled product which was to be a Journey replacement arriving under the Chrysler brand name. That particular model was based on the Latin American Jeep Commander and never showed up here, nor did its platform mate the Rampage pickup. Now before anyone gets there shorts in a bunch about the logIstics of importing products from Brazil, such products could have gone into Belvedere facility. As it was Stellantis cut short the Cherokee production and mothballed the lines.

The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models are now built on the STLA-medium platform. In typical French fashion they have butt-ugly front ends and hideous driver's stations and interiors. The driveline pieces are also less than stellar. (No pun intended.)

It's like they're trying to flounder in the US market. If they would adapt the RAM 700 and a 1200 to US requirements I'm sure they would sell well. Same with so many Stellantis products we see in Europe we can't get. If they're worried about the European nameplates do badge engineering and call the Dodge and Chrysler. Just because the Hornet didn't take off immediately doesn't mean all models won't.

How are they ugly, airplane switches and highly comfortable interior.
You never drove one
On the other hand most of Europe thinks Asian vehicles are ugly and cheap low power, smelly interiors and most of all
They know they are there to wreck their economy
So Europe Household's don't buy Asian vehicles
Towns and regions and you won't see one
You can go for days in South Italy and not see one Asian vehicle

There's this thing called the World Wide Web which allows me to see pictures of automobiles marketed overseas. The latest Peugeot 5008 has an ugly grill and an even uglier dash. I hate touchscreens. Almost all the touchscreens in automobiles are sourced from China.
