Stellantis announce the Chrysler brand go all BEV in 2028

I have to say that Triple T has it right and the rest of this is whining. There is no white space for Chrysler in ICE production, so it's alternative energy or out. This is Chrysler's ONLY shot at success, and I predict they will do very well as long as the cars are perceived as 'Chryslers'. Most buyers are moving to electric, BEV or PHEV anyways and this puts Chrysler back near the technology front, where it rightly belongs.

Reinventing Chrysler as the pilot brand for Stellantis EVs in NA has potential, and if it doesn't save Chrysler as an automobile brand, it is/was still worth doing.

Seems to be some great products are in the pipeline, being a Chrysler person all my life ( 60+ yrs.) car salesman ( 35+ yrs ) the brand Chrysler has the Pacifica, Voyager, and the 300. My advice is for Chrysler to study their Asian counterparts, first, they are building crossovers and SUVs but very few has totally abandoned the sedans, not Nissan, Honda, etc. Chrysler needs to keep in mind that the 300 has been on the market since 2005 and even that old plate form has remained in the top 3 large cars sold for many years. Chrysler the Airflow is great, but my advice have a worthy replacement that can hit the market strong and soon maybe badged 300BE ( 300 battery-electric ) keeping the letter series as all the 300's have been.

If NA was the only market the Asians would abandon the standard sedan also, careers were lost over the losses in that market. The 300 will not survive a Luxury offering, the form factor of and upright seating position of the SUV has killed that class of vehicle in NA. There are only 2 solutions reborn as CUV or a direct competitor to the Tesla S. Anything else would be a complete waste of resources and ANOTHER strike on the marque that it cannot afford.

Chrysler to go all EV by 2028 looks like a little too early, 2030 would be more reasonnable.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the switch to Phev and Bev and how fast it will happen, as prices drop and styling improves. Gas prices are also driving the switchover. Now that a lot of range anxiety has been eased, and infrastructure is starting to be in place, the change will only accelerate. By 2030, I predict there will be very limited choice of any gasoline style fueled engines, except maybe as exotics.
