As Chrysler approaches its historic 100th birthday, speculation about the future of the brand continues to swirl. But according to Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell, there’s no need to worry.

In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Feuell pushed back on constant rumors that the iconic American brand could be on the chopping block under Stellantis, the company that formed in 2021 after the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and France’s PSA Group.

They cannot just punt, it is suicide. They have to re-engage in meaningful manner. Toyota has been pragmatic which should be no surprise.

STLA went from 0- to total commitment... the opposite of pragmatic. and haven't actual launched anything but the EV Charger that after 18month should have been perfect, but a lovely as it is seems unfinished.
Toyota led off their new electrification direction in our market with the Crown sedan, which is basically a competitor to the old Charger and Chrysler 300. The styling is eccentric, the sales aren't all that great, but it pioneered the use of sharing EV components in hybrid models. The wagon version of the Crown is sold out and has a waiting list, so it's pretty much the styling hindering the sedan.

The strategy of going all in on battery electric drive might prove fatal to the legacy Chrysler Corporate brands. It was GM which pioneered the mixing of hybrid and EV technology with the Volt program. CT should have been aware of this when PSA bought Opel and inherited much of the engineering staff. GM kicked the Volt program to the curb and went all in on battery electric, firing much of the engineering staff in the process. CT has done the same thing with Auburn Hills.

You know what is sad, and maybe is speaks to class as modest as Crown sales are, it outsold the 300.

I posted this on Facebook (Chrysler channel). Chrysler 300i - using DALL-E and with a lot of verbiage to get it right. LOL Based on the Halycon Concept.ChatGPT Image Jun 9, 2025, 07_43_06 AM.png

No. It was something Bob showed me offline a couple of years ago. It never surfaced from a clay model to a concept.

This almost a direct competitor to Continental Concept... And executed would have been like the Continental.

Top is all Lincoln.... bottom Yes do that....

Why not ask and contract our to either Bentley or Rolls Royce, with building low numbers 2027 Chrysler Imperial/Chrysler New Yorkers? It is not about numbers, it is about bringing people to the show room.

Second, why not order direct from the factory and delivers to the consumer in cutting the MSRP cost?

DISCLAIMER - this is not mine image but I really like it.

VW tried failed just bought a marque, BMW tried failed, just bought a Marque…. Daimler tried with Maybach mostly failed

Anyone still alive remember Imperial as anything other than a gaudy stretched Omni?

Just think using resources in getting powertrain sorted and capacity up and running.

As this point Franklin, Desoto, or Plymouth have more value.

The sad part, in my older years, I am looking for lower maintenance but ultra luxury sedan. Purchasing a used Bentley or Rolls, the maintenance on these vehicles is unsustainable by the masses, including me. The next step down is BMW, MB, Audi, or Cadillac. The three German brands, majority of owners failed to see the 10-14K dollars 100k maintenance. Unlike the Cadillac, it is less than half. LOL Then we have the entry level luxury 300, where it is less than half of Cadillac CT series. In the end, I was looking for low mileage used hands free but fully opted sedan with massage seats (distance commute in Southern Cali). No! Everyone drives a SUV. We have two 300s, 1 Ram, and our 6th minivan (my favorite for vacation/Home Deport/Lowes/storage runs). I just wish Chrysler would make a ultra luxury sedan. :)

Could they hit lightening in the bottle again with what the did on 300.... I suppose but it cannot be retro as we saw that just is too limited in keeping the sustainable.
