There is a bit of irony in that ending the EV mandates will probably save battery electric vehicles. First of all this will allow the electrical grid and charging infrastructure a chance to catchup while the demand is low. In the US of A, the government was meddling way too much in the EV...
I posted this in another thread, but it bears repeating here.
The Chrysler product legacy is overdue for another transmission debacle. There was the Ulta-Drive, the CVT in the Belvedere trio cars, which was immediately followed by the DDCT in the Dart. The new Jeep Cherokee with the Punch and a...
The Punch won't show up in the hybrid vehicles with longitudinal drivetrains. That's what the Gen-IV ZF was intended for.

The hybrid options are AWOL. One of the reasons given for using an inline six configuration was it allows for better packaging of e-chargers and similar technologies. It was once rumored there would be a hybrid version of the Hurricane 6 and I think there should be a hybrid GME similar to the...
If Ram follows the same formula for the midsize Ram as they had with the Classic, they will have a winner on their hands. It was possible to find reasonably priced Classic models on the lots because Ram didn't go wild with the option list and trim packages.
As far as the topic at hand, I'm of...
Why do I suspect we keep getting the same troll recycled? The Ford Maverick caught a lot of people's attention, many of us have seen the Rampage online and have commented positively on the threads in these forums. Supposedly, a BOF Dakota replacement is in the pipeline, but I'll believe it when...
Dear Stellantis Board Members,
Is the problem the customers aren't buying or is it you're not selling? The marketing in North America would be the worst ever, but right now Jaguar owns that trophy. Since that brand is nearly dead, your legacy North American brand nameplates will soon inherit...
Abarth is in serious trouble. The sales collapse suggests a change of course, but how can that be done in view of the looming EU zero emissions mandates? Any hybrid alternative will be limited to the power levels of the Abarth's vanilla Fiat equivalents. The Stellantis overlords cheapened out...
God forbid Americans should have any choice of mobility. Leaving out California for minute, these type of vehicles sell and do well in areas of the USA which tend to be politically conservative. My in-laws lived in a Florida retirement community and after a number of visits to area, I became...
How about a Dodge version that is a shrunken A-100 pickup from the 1960's? That Fiat is testing the waters with this here in America is a pleasant surprise.
Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, asked for a 3-ton performance sedan. No government agency had a minimum weight rule for battery electric vehicles. Somebody in Europe, either in France or Holland, made the decision for the battery electric Charger. Thinking that an expensive overweight...
Ask Chic Fil A or Canes. Dodge won’t survive on Hemis alone. If people are dumb enough to not buy a Dodge product because they call the sixpack a muscle car when the Hemi does become available that’s their problem. If anything Dodge doesn’t have enough drive train variety.
It's obvious we'll know more next week, but the new leadership team definitely has their work cut out for them. The financial performance of the legacy FCA brands are killing the bottom line. Europe is a mess because paying workers slave wages in Eastern European manufacturing facilities doesn't...
If Stellantis could come in with an affordable price for our country, these vehicles would be a hit in retirement communities as neighborhood electric vehicles.
Could this be built stateside? Lets face it, this "Smart" platform and its forebear the CMP have become the revenge of the K-platform. As someone once famously said, "It's Deja Vu all over again." In Europe the eCMP platform supports a Jeep Avenger and a Lancia rally racer with all the different...
The problem with the C-segment models from Stellantis is that they’re all either the small CMP or the Smart platform. There are no production lines existing or planned for here. I also don’t know if any of our North American built engines would fit under the hood.
