Why does he say he's been without his car for so long and has no idea when he will get it back?

I hope they've taken so long to bring the JT 4xe to market because they've been working on extending the electric-only range of the battery pack. Give me 50 miles of electric only with a solid ICE for backup and that would be the perfect midsize pickup truck.

I haven't seen a single Jeep 4xe video where the owner was able to get significant amounts of charge from the regenerative braking system. The system may help extend range a bit, but it doesn't seem to actually charge the battery to full.

See, I think plug-in hybrid is the only way to do it. The F-150 hybrid is terrible and nobody likes it because the things that COULD be a benefit are not due to lack of control by the operator. With a PHEV like the Jeep 4xe you get the best of both worlds. You can charge youself and drive on...

I agree with you guys on the styling. This looks like a Lexus RX350 made love to a Nissan Murano and they had a baby. This "new" design could have been on sale in 2010 and it wouldn't have looked fresh. Sigh........
