Love these ideas but one way to lighten up the Challenger is by using carbon fiber materials. They could use a carbon fiber hood, roof, trunk and some other pieces to get the weight down. It would drive up the cost a lot but in the end I think it people would be willing to buy one.
The paper thin body panels are not what makes those cars porky

Was... AFAIK that was Alfa Romeo E segment sedan. Of course they may reuse project code. It was almost finished when they've cancelled it. It was a 3rd Giorgio based Alfa, and it was planned to hit showrooms 6 to 12 months after Stelvio. But market has switched to SUVs.

In any case. It seems that WL SRT suspension is being developed in Italy. WL project is or at least was closely related to Alfa 964 which is/was E segment Alfa SUV. There was even a possibility to build it alongside WL. And I would not exclude it especially in a case where Durango would leave JNAP.

So your saying some development is being done in Italy on american vehicles? Specifically the WL rear suspension.

And this one 'guy" is a pretty smart fellow then?

Of course it's a team, but... The important part is that WL SRT is going to be pure breed on road based beast. At least that's my understanding. On road as focus on cornering on some random twisty narrow European road, not just on a straight line speed.

There is codevelopment in Italy and the US on many models. SRT doesn't really do production lone development sort of stuff. Like the 2019 Ram has almost 40 different driveshafts, and how they work into the production line. They don’t do that.

They also don’t do major chassis or engine things. They take what is already developed and make it better.

The development goes wherever the team is that does that particular sort of work. It makes a lot of sense for suspension stuff to be done at Alfa.

Also remember that going forward, each new car, each new platform, will share between FCA divisions. Each model will be unique, but dimensions will be shared, though not necessarily parts, across FCA.

Both sides of the pond have things hey can teach each other. FCA is a unique company in that sense.

So with the WL SRT and Alfa using the same "platform for lack of a better word.. the New Alfa SUV is planning on being pretty much the same size as the WL three row?
Cause from what i've read the three row WL is about the Expedition/Suburban size??

No, the three row WL is about the size of the current Durango.

If you’re on Facebook, you NEED to follow the Wesley Motorsports team. Their new Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye just got a LOT more badass.

There are a number of reasons you need to follow this car. Trust me.

This is form the car will take when it tries to conquer the mountain (Pike’s Peak).

If you aren’t on Facebook, just google Wesley Motorsports and go to their web page. That’ll get you started. They do update FB a lot more.

I am VERY excited for this car for a number of reasons.

I have that car as my wallpaper on my computer. I always look at it and say that would make a good Challanger ACR.

I agree. In so many ways.

As for Wallpaper, look at the car now. You’re going to need to update your words. There is a new splitter that looks like it belongs on an endurance prototype, and they lifted the Viper X-wing way way way high; so high that the ‘69/70 Daytona/Superbird would feel totally inadequate!

They are setting it up to conquer the mountain. The thing looks totally bad ass now. Heck, even a Viper ACR-E would now start to doubt itself.

I have not seen a pic’ from the rear. So I don’t know if they’ve added a diffuser. It so far, hasn’t had one.
Also, lol closely at the new hood.

12.5" X 19" wheels with 355/30/19 Kumho tires. Lots more rubber on the road than standard Hellcat widebody. Viper ACR wing, and Viper ACR front brakes, and Bilstein adjustable dampers look to make the Challenger into a handling sportscar.
