It's nothing else than a rebadged Fiat Toro.
Ram 1000, Fiat Toro's name in colombian market.

I doubt this truck will ever come to the US but I found it curious that it will be sold in Colombia as a Ram.
The pickup will be present in the Bogota Auto Show, it will be manufactured in Brasil, it will have the eTorque 1.75 engine with 130hp, automatic transmission and FWD or 4x4 suspension. As is quite obvious, they only changed the badges.
To me this is a pretend truck. Not to say that a truck has to be BOF or RWD or have great huge wheels to be a “real” truck. That being said, if you don’t have those things, why even TRY to look like you do? To me the Fiat Doblo dropside pickup is much more authentic in its appearance with similar functionality. But hey, it’s all subjective anyway. Have a great Thanksgiving all!
TBH, if they put a more Ram-like grille (whatever that is now) it could be a great alternative for when gas prices shoot back up for those that want a truck.
Personally would not want one... but I agree that a little more of a Ram front grill and this could actually be a product for those that do not want a Full Size Truck... but want some functionality and the idea of a Truckish vehicle. Its not any worse looking than the Honda imho. I would love to know what the costs would be to Americanize this and bring it to the US. I assume its more than the projected profits, but would be interesting to have BeanCounter do some analysis.
