Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 12,375 units of its 2021 to 2022 Ram ProMaster vehicles due to a wiring harness that may have a poor connection, which can cause the left taillight and left turn signal to become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108 requirements, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” An inoperative left turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, and an inoperative left taillight can reduce the vehicle’s visibility to other drivers. Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 317,589 units of its 2018 to 2021 Chrysler 300 (LX) and Dodge Charger (LD) sedans. Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a Side Airbag Inflatable Curtain (SABIC) inflator that may rupture. A SABIC inflator rupture may result in compressed gas rapidly escaping from the inflator and material potentially being propelled into the vehicle. Material being propelled into an occupied vehicle may cause injury. Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 38,164 vehicles because the steering column control module (SCCM) may not be welded properly. This can prevent the driver’s airbag from deploying in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.” An airbag that does not deploy when intended may result in an increased risk of injury to the driver in certain crashes.
