Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona Models Return For 2019:
Repackaging Has Led To Confusion:
Since Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) released information of the upcoming 2019 Dodge Charger and Challenger last week, many people have reached out to us wondering what happened to the Charger Daytona and Challenger T/A models. The answer is… nothing. Both are returning for the 2019 model year.
For 2019, the Dodge brand has repackaged their lineups of the Dodge Charger and Challenger models. While the Dodge Charger Daytona and Dodge Challenger T/A return for 2019, they are not considered their own trim models now but as packages to other trim models. Confusing to many Dodge diehards.
Both Charger Daytona and Challenger T/A packages are available on R/T and R/T Scat Pack models.
The Challenger T/A Package includes white face instrument panel cluster, gloss black instrument panel cluster trim rings, Mopar cold-air intake (CAI) system, illuminated air catcher headlights, functional hood scoop, black grille, black fuel filler door, T/A bodyside stripe (with 392 fender decal on R/T Scat Pack models), black spoiler with T/A spoiler decal, painted satin black hood, wrapped roof and deck-lid. R/T models come with 20″ x 9″ Low Gloss Granite forged wheels, while R/T Scat Pack models come with 20″ x 9.5″ Low Gloss Black forged wheels.
The Daytona Edition Group includes Daytona logo’d Leather/Alcantara seats, Mopar cold-air intake (CAI) system, Power/Heated/Memory/Blind-Spot Monitoring, black-edged premium floor mats, Daytona instrument panel badge, gloss black instrument panel cluster trim rings, carbonite interior accents, soft-touch instrument panel, Daytona front grille badge, Daytona decals, lower LED fog lamps, black one-piece performance spoiler, power tilt/telescoping steering column. R/T models get a security alarm, heated steering wheel, satin black deck-lid badge and 20-inch forged/painted wheels. R/T Scat Pack models come with 392 fender decals, bright pedals from Mopar, 275/40ZR20 all-season tires and 20″ x 9.5″ forged/painted wheels.
