The much-loved Fiat Strada, South America’s favorite pickup, is all set to receive a thrilling update for the 2024 model year. One of the most significant upgrades to the 2024 Strada is the adoption of the turbocharged 1.0-liter “T200” inline-three-cylinder engine from the Stellantis Global Small Engine (GSE) family. This powerhouse will be available in two versions: the luxurious Ranch model and a new premium Ultra trim. The engine is capable of delivering 125 horsepower when running on gasoline and an impressive 130 horsepower on ethanol. Both fuel options allow the engine to produce a robust 200 N⋅m (148 lb.-ft.) of torque.

To complement the mighty engine, the Strada will be equipped with a CVT gearbox, which cleverly simulates seven virtual gears. This setup promises a seamless and dynamic driving experience, making the Strada an even more enjoyable ride.

In terms of design, the turbo variants of this compact pick-up from the renowned Italian automaker will boast an unprecedented and exclusive style. AutosSegredos reports that the new Strada draws inspiration from the striking Fiat Pulse B-UV. While the headlamps, fenders, and hood remain unchanged, the grille design is set to showcase intriguing elements inspired by the Pulse. Additionally, the Ranch and Ultra models will be treated to a fresh lineup of eye-catching aluminum wheels.

At the rear, the Strada retains its familiar taillamps and overall styling. Unlike the Toro Ultra, which comes with a standard hard tonneau cover for the box, the Strada Ultra is likely to feature a soft tonneau cover to maintain a competitive price point without compromising on utility.

Inside the cabin, the Strada maintains its current instrument panel but receives a noteworthy upgrade in the form of an all-new 8-inch Uconnect 5-based infotainment touchscreen. This advanced system will offer an array of cutting-edge features, ensuring a seamless connection between the driver and the vehicle’s technology. Moreover, the steering wheel, although retaining its appearance, will gain the the ability to control functions such as Level 2 autonomy features, taking the driving experience to the next level.
