Miller Looks To Extend TA2 Points Lead At Mid-Ohio:

Looking To Put His Challenger Back Into The Winners Circle...

After winning at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway this past weekend, the No. 40 PREFIX Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) Dodge Challenger team is looking for a repeat of their dominating performance at this weekend’s race at the FirstEnergy Mid-Ohio 100 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Driver Marc Miller, extended his points lead for the PREFIX team with his win at Indy, now putting him 30 points ahead of his teammate Dillon Machavern and his No. 77 Liqui-Moly SMR Ford Mustang, who finished right behind Miller with a second-place finish at Indy. That’s right, the SMR team fields not only two Dodge Challengers in the TA2 class, but also a Chevrolet Camaro and a Ford Mustang.

“Marc has worked tirelessly with our team to get our Dodge on top. We have not had a win since Sebring 2018 and this is our first one-two with Dillon following Marc across the yard of bricks to take second. Our consistency has put us on top of the championship but we were missing a win – this is huge for the entire team and doing it at Indy is just beyond description”, team owner Joe Stevens said.

Miller stated, “This win is a tribute to all of the SMR team. We’ve all put our hearts and soul into this and this weekend it all came together. We were fastest in every session, led every lap, set the fastest lap, and took the win – a perfect weekend. To have it happen at Indy could not have meant more. I’ve had friends who’ve kissed the bricks and it is something every driver wants to do. I’ve dreamed of having the chance and it is amazing to be one of the few to have put lips to these famous bricks.

“I have to thank Kim, Eric, Jhan, Lori, Rick and everyone at PREFIX who have supported me this year. It’s a huge commitment on their part and I want to bring home the championship to cap off their 40th anniversary. We extended our lead in the championship but we have three races in four weeks so we have to keep on our game.”
