Build & Price: 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Lineup:

Hidden Configurator, Still Has A Few Bugs To Be Worked Out...

Since the debut of the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit earlier this year, MoparInsiders.com and its sister site, HDRams.com have been flooded with questions about when are Ram Trucks going to update their site with a Build & Price configurator for the new trucks. While the new trucks have been arriving on dealer lots, potential customers still haven’t been able to configure the trucks that they want. At the time of writing this, RamTrucks.com has yet to post the new Build & Price configurator for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup.

However, using a little bit of trickery we have been able to tap into the Build & Price configurator for the new 2019 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickups. We believe it has not been launched on the website, because Ram is still working some issues out with it. While we have been playing around with the configurator we have noticed, while we tried to spec out a 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn Sport Crew Cab 4×4 the configurator forces you to upgrade to a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel, instead of the 6.4-liter HEMI V8. That is simply not true, as the HEMI-powered Big Horn Sport Crew Cab 4×4 is already on lots. But there is also is an issue where depending on the trim level, certain packages can be selected while the same options are already picked in other packages (like the Level packages available with the trim you are looking at). So be sure to read what the Level packages include before choosing your options.

We are happy to say, that most of the returning option content from the 2018 Ram Heavy Duty models have not changed in price over last year.

We are hoping Ram Trucks will get the bugs worked out sometime this coming week. But being able to find the configurator on the website, means that the Ram brand is getting ready to launch it very soon. Special thanks to HDRams.com forum member keltek_nw, for bringing this to our attention.
