Bucking HEMI® Found and Back Home After 67-Hour Ordeal

Recovery Raises Questions After Sheriff’s Strong Statement

The mystery of Ram’s missing “Bucking HEMI®” has been resolved — but not without controversy. The one-of-a-kind HEMI-themed mechanical bull ride, reported stolen after the Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event in Michigan on August 9, has been recovered after a whirlwind 67-hour absence and a 1,200-mile round-trip to and from North Carolina.

According to Ram, the disappearance was the result of a misunderstanding. The Bucking HEMI had been mistakenly taken by one of the event’s contractors during teardown. The mix-up went unnoticed until widespread media coverage brought attention to the incident. Once the contractor realized the error, they returned the attraction to Ram.

Ram publicly thanked the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office for their role in locating the ride. “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who rallied behind us and worked to bring Ram’s Bucking HEMI® home,” the brand said in a statement. “Notably, we are extremely grateful and sincerely appreciate the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office’s assistance in this matter.”

However, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard expressed frustration over the situation. “The company never actually lost the bull,” Bouchard said in a statement. “I find this to be very frustrating and a tremendous waste of valuable investigative time. Now, we’re pivoting to see if a crime was committed by the filing of a false police report.”

The revelation raises a new question — will charges be filed now that the Bucking HEMI is back home? Authorities have not confirmed whether legal action will follow, but the investigation is continuing.

Originally debuting June 8 at Michigan International Speedway as part of Ram’s NASCAR return celebration, the Bucking HEMI is powered by dual 1hp independent motors and a 5kVA diesel generator, capable of 43.8 spins per minute. Riders get 15 seconds to hold on for a chance to earn the exclusive “I rode the HEMI to redline, and it was Bucking Awesome” t-shirt.

Now that it’s back, Ram says fans can expect to see the Bucking HEMI at upcoming events, delivering more thrills — this time without the drama of a multi-state hunt.

Clearly, someone from Allpar stole it because they can't stand the Hemi living on and succeeding. Sad!
