Windsor Assembly Produces 100,000th Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid!

Efficient PHEV Minivan, Continues To Lead The Way For The Segment...

This week, a significant milestone was celebrated at the Stellantis Windsor Assembly Plant as the 100,000th Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid rolled off the production line. The journey of the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) minivan began on December 1st, 2016, marking it as the pioneer in the PHEV minivan segment. Remarkably, it retains its status as the sole PHEV minivan available on the market.

Dressed in a sophisticated Brillant Black hue, the 100,000th unit produced is a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L model, exuding elegance.

An outstanding feature of the Pacifica Hybrid is its eligibility for a complete $7,500 federal tax credit, combined with potential state and local tax credits. It stands proudly as the third highest-selling plug-in hybrid since its launch in 2016, and within the top five best-selling PHEVs of the last decade.

“Congratulations to the entire team at Windsor Assembly Plant on production of the 100,000th ultimate family vehicle, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler CEO. “The Pacifica Hybrid jump-started the Chrysler brand’s electrified journey, and we continue to build on this foundation to deliver the first all-electric Chrysler vehicle in 2025 and an all-electric Chrysler brand portfolio in 2028.”

The Pacifica Hybrid boasts an impressive all-electric range of 32 miles, with an energy efficiency of 82 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe). This is made possible through a cutting-edge Stellantis-designed dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission (EVT), paired ingeniously with a specially adapted version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine.

One of the Pacifica Hybrid’s standout qualities is its seamlessly integrated driving experience, eliminating the need for the driver to manually switch between electric and hybrid modes. Notably, it also employs regenerative braking technology, utilizing braking and stopping moments to charge the battery. For heightened efficiency, there’s a Max Regeneration mode that maximizes the regenerative braking force, intelligently conveyed through a cluster messaging icon to keep drivers informed about increased system regeneration.

Beyond its innovative technology, the Pacifica Hybrid boasts seven-passenger seating, outstripping other PHEVs in the industry in terms of interior capacity. Furthermore, it leads its class with an array of standard safety features. The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L starts at a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $51,095, excluding the $1,595 destination charge.

And yet every time I take my 2018 in for service or yet another recall, they act like they have no idea Chrysler sold these or how to service one.
