AUCTION: 4,600-Mile 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T Club Cab

Ultra-Low Mileage Midsized Performance Pickup Is Up For Grabs...

We absolutely love the Gen2 Dodge Dakota (DN) that ran from 1997 to 2004. The handsome-looking midsized pickup was known for offering a configuration for everyone at the time. From a two-door Regular Cab to a true four-door Quad Cab, two-wheel drive (4×2) to four-wheel drive (4×4), and inline-four-cylinder to V8 powertrain choices, the Dakota could be truly configured in a number of ways. Our favorite though was the high-performance 5.9 R/T model

Offered in either a Regular Cab or Club Cab model, the 5.9 R/T featured a 250 horsepower 5.9-liter (360 cubic-inch) MAGNUM V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. The package includes cloth sport seats (a 40/20/40 cloth bench was optional at no extra charge), Dakota 5.9 R/T door decals, a 5.9 R/T tailgate badge, color-keyed wheel flares, body-colored upper and low front and rear fascias, hood insulations, heavy-duty stabilizer bar, leather-wrapped steering wheel, lower suspension, fog lamps, P255/17 BSW performance tires, 17-inch x 9-inch cast aluminum wheels, limited-slip differential, and 3.92 rear axle ratio.

The 5.9 R/T trucks were popular in their day, however, in recent years they are becoming highly sought after. Especially those which remain in their stock configuration. With most of the trucks reaching historical status (20 years old), they are becoming harder to find in pristine condition.

This stunning Intense Blue-painted 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T Club Cab was registered with one owner through 2020 before it was acquired by the selling dealer in April 2022. But what makes this example particularly special is the fact that it has fewer than 4,600 miles on the odometer.

The high-back bucket seats and folding rear bench are upholstered in Gray cloth and joined by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM/Cassette/CD radio with Infinity sound system, power windows, and power locks.
