When it comes to classic Mopar muscle with style, few cars do it better than this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe Convertible. Coated in bold Vitamin C Orange (K2) and loaded with comfort, performance, and rarity, this head-turner is set to cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach tomorrow, April 26, 2025.

Under the hood lives a factory N-code 6.3-liter (383 cubic-inch) Big-Block V8 rated at 335 horsepower, breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor. It’s paired to an automatic transmission and backed by dual exhaust, giving it that unmistakable muscle car sound. Power steering and power brakes make cruising easy, and air conditioning adds a touch of everyday usability.

But what really sets this ‘Cuda apart is the Gran Coupe treatment—Plymouth’s luxury trim package for the Barracuda. That meant upscale touches like a Rallye instrument cluster with a tachometer, bucket seats, a center console, and a molded headliner. This particular car is also optioned with power windows, fog lights, a power-operated white convertible top, and rides on factory Rallye wheels.

The white interior pairs beautifully with the Vitamin C exterior, giving it a bright, retro-modern vibe that stands out in any crowd. A copy of the original Broadcast Sheet is included in the sale, helping verify its factory-built authenticity.

According to production figures, only 36 N-code Barracuda convertibles were built in 1970, making this one incredibly rare—especially with this combination of options and colors.

It’s part muscle car, part boulevard cruiser, and all-American cool. If you’re attending Barrett-Jackson in Palm Beach, this is one you’ll want to see up close.
