TFLTruck Leaks 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX’s New Decorative Plaque:

New Dash Plaque Looks Amazing...

One of the most anticipated vehicles in the pipeline from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has to be the upcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX. The supercharged half-ton pickup has been years in the making and is scheduled to debut this summer at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan pending if the show goes on.

While we have been breaking down a lot of the information about the upcoming TRX, our good friends over at TFLTruck have leaked a picture of the TRX’s new decorative plaque for the dash. The new plaque (which has some information redacted) will feature horsepower, boost, supercharger information (states 2,380cc twin-screw blower/supercharger, which is the same IHI supercharger found on the standard 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8), and of course, each plaque will feature each individual VIN number. Very similar to the one featured in the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX Concept.

One of our sources has confirmed that like the concept, the rotary dial shifter will be removed in the Rebel TRX (as we said before) and the Hellcat-powered Ram will feature a center column-mounted shifter. Where the rotary dial shifter is located on all other Ram models, a new terrain selector shifter will take its place.

While the TFLTruck picture of the dash plaque may have the horsepower numbers redacted, several of our sources have told us that the production model will feature all of the Hellcat engine’s 707 horsepower, unlike the concept which was toned down to only 575 horsepower.

TFLTruck also had a viewer send in a series of photos of a fully camouflaged TRX model, running the highways of Metro Detroit. While the quick cellphone shots don’t show us anything new, they do show just how much the new wider fenders bulge out of the body compared to the standard Ram 1500 models.

The 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX will start JOB #1 production at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant on September 8th, 2020. We can’t wait to get our hands on it later this year. Especially after getting some seat time in our friend’s custom-built Hellcat-powered 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel, a few weeks ago.

Thanks to our friends at TFLTruck.com
