2021 Dodge Durango R/T AWD Tow N’ Go Package Starts At $52,900:

R/T Model Gets SRT Goodies For 2021...

We have talked about the new-for-2021 Dodge Durango R/T AWD with the optional Tow N’ Go Package, several times. But there is more to the supposed added towing capability of the new package. The Tow N’ Go Package still carries the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8 from the Durango R/T, but adds the Durango SRT’s aggressive looks, black Brembo 6-piston brakes, and features new Performance Drive Modes than include Track, Sport, Snow, and Tow models.

The added features give the Durango R/T AWD with the Tow N’ Go Package a best-in-class towing capacity of 8,700 lbs. equal to the Durango SRT Hellcat and Durango SRT392 (300 lbs. more than the Chevrolet Tahoe), an increased top-speed fo 145 mph, and an all-new SRT-tuned performance exhaust for some added rumble. The SRT Brembo brakes on the R/T Tow N Go feature a power four-wheel disc brake system with 15-inch vented and slotted front rotors with 6-piston Brembo calipers and 13.8-inch vented rear rotors with 4-piston fixed Brembo calipers.

The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 still produces a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to an 8-speed automatic 8HP70 transmission. The R/T Tow N’ Go Package is only available on all-wheel-drive (AWD) models. The new trim-level is R/T Tow N’ Go Package adds an additional $4,995 to the U.S. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the R/T, making for a starting price of $52,900 (excluding a $1,495 destination charge).

The 2021 Dodge Durango R/T with Tow N’ Go Package will be built at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) in Detroit. Initial deliveries to Dodge dealerships are scheduled to begin later this year.
