The Ram 1500 TRX Will Return For The 2024 Model Year!

HELLCAT-Power Will Return For Another Year...

There is some exciting news from our dealer connections that should bring a smile to the faces of fans of the Ram 1500 TRX. Despite concerns over the Dodge brand’s move towards electrification, the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8-powered TRX is set to continue its dominance into the 2024 model year with minimal changes. This announcement comes as a relief to those who feared the iconic engine’s departure. Boasting impressive power and performance, the Ram 1500 TRX remains the apex predator in the truck world, pushing boundaries and defying expectations.

The heart of the Ram 1500 TRX is the mighty HELLCAT engine, delivering an astonishing 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with a high-torque-capacity TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, this powerhouse propels the TRX to impressive feats. With a top speed of 118 mph, the Ram TRX achieves remarkable acceleration, going from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds and conquering the quarter mile in just 12.9 seconds at 108 mph.

Beyond its raw power, the Ram 1500 TRX retains its exceptional off-road capability and utility. With the ability to ford up to 32 inches of water and a robust towing capacity of up to 8,100 lbs., the TRX is well-equipped for rugged adventures. Additionally, its maximum payload capacity of 1,310 lbs. ensures it can easily handle heavy loads. Whether traversing challenging terrain or tackling demanding towing tasks, the TRX repeatedly proves its mettle.

While the 2024 model year sees few changes, enthusiasts may note the absence of the Hydro Blue (PBJ) color option from the TRX’s exterior lineup. However, the TRX will return with a range of other captivating colors, including Billet Silver (PSC), Bright White (PW7), Diamond Black (PXJ), Flame Red (PR4), and Granite Crystal (PAU). But we wouldn’t be surprised if Ram continues to offer special edition colors again throughout the model year.

The TR, TR1, and TR2 Equipment Groups remain unchanged for the 2024 model year. The TR Equipment Group, based on the Rebel layout, offers a premium cloth and vinyl interior with black and Dark Ruby Red surfaces. Opting for the TR1 or TR2 Equipment Group provides an interior based on the luxurious Ram 1500 Limited, featuring an all-black color scheme with leather and suede accents that offer a unique feel. The front bucket and rear bench seats are covered in heated and ventilated premium Natura Plus leather with perforated suede accents. The TR1 and TR2 Equipment Groups also offer exquisite stitching and accents, with options for medium Greystone stitching, Graphite Metallic accents, TRX red stitching, and carbon fiber accents.

While pricing for the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX models is yet to be released, consumers should anticipate a potential increase due to ongoing inflation. However, the exceptional performance and features of the TRX make it a worthwhile investment for truck enthusiasts seeking unrivaled power and off-road capability. This is a nice looking old Power Wagon .. Article says it's a 1968. It certainly doesn't have a '68 grill. I had a '71 Power Wagon that had the same grill. I bought it in Idaho in 1987 for $1600. 318 V8, 4.10 gears, 8,000 lb. Warn winch, and two 25 gallon saddle tanks. Sorry I had to part with it after 9 years.
