Alfa Romeo has finally pulled back the covers on its 2021 Stelvio offerings for the European market, including an all-new model. For those looking for more style from the award-winning Italian SUV, the new Stelvio Veloce Ti provides the perfect combination of sporty content and style that highlights the SUV’s performance.
For the first time, the Stelvio goes into the 2021 model year boasting new 21-inch aluminum wheels across the lineup. Up until now, the Stelvio lineup was only available with offerings up to 20-inches. The new wheel designs are available with a dual-burnished and silver-plated finish, with a specific design for the high-performance Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
The acronym “Ti” stands for “Turismo Internazionale” (or International Tourism), has always been applied to the brand’s top-level models. While the world Veloce (Italian for “fast”) has expressed the speed of the brand’s best-performing models. Now Alfa Romeo is saying that the new Veloce Ti model represents the Stelvio’s technical and mechanical excellence, evoking the Quadrifoglio model which the Veloce Ti shares styling elements with.
The 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce Ti features an all-new rear bumper with a skid-plate and body-colored body kit from the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Inside, the Veloce Ti echos the Quadrifoglio interior with aggressively bolstered leather and Alcantara seats, a black-colored interior, and finished throughout with real carbon-fiber accents. The dark-accented exterior incorporates darkened window surrounds, deep-tinted windows, and Gloss Black identification badges.
Under the hood, Europeans will be able to choose from a 280 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder gasoline engine or an efficient 2.2-liter turbo-diesel inline-four-cylinder engine producing 210 horsepower. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and feature Alfa’s awesome Q4 all-wheel-drive system. All Stelvio models are equipped with a carbon-fiber driveshaft as well.
The 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio also returns with Level 2 autonomy including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) delivering the highest level of autonomous driving in a perfect balance between driving pleasure and assistance systems. Level 2 autonomy by definition when the driver gives the car control of the accelerator, brakes, and steering under certain conditions. he feature uses electronic systems that require continuous monitoring by the driver, at the same time providing the support of greater comfort on long journeys. The driver, however, must continuously remain in control, always keeping their hands on the steering wheel.
