Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida Q4 to Arrive at German Dealers in April
Alfa's Smallest Crossover to Feature the Same Powertrain as the Jeep® Avenger 4xe...
Alfa Romeo’s highly anticipated Junior Ibrida Q4 hybrid will debut in German showrooms by April 2025. Combining a turbocharged petrol engine with cutting-edge hybrid technology, this new model delivers a total system output of 107 kW (145 horsepower) and is priced from €37,000 (or about $40,300 USD). With its advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) and Italian flair, the Junior Ibrida Q4 promises to set a new standard in efficient yet dynamic driving.
Smart Hybrid Powertrain –
The Junior Ibrida Q4 features a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 100 kW (136 horsepower), paired with a 48-volt hybrid system. It includes two electric motors: one integrated into the 6-speed dual-clutch transmission to power the front wheels and another motor on the rear axle for independent traction. Together, the system provides a seamless AWD experience.
The rear electric motor delivers torque of up to 1,900 Nm (1,400 lb-ft), enhancing grip and control on any terrain. Even if the hybrid battery runs low, the innovative Power Looping system ensures uninterrupted all-wheel drive by using the gasoline engine to generate electricity for the rear wheels.
Four Driving Modes for All Conditions –
Alfa Romeo’s DNA driving dynamics program offers four modes to suit various scenarios:
- Q4 Mode: Provides maximum traction on slippery surfaces with constant AWD up to 30 km/h (19 mph) and on-demand activation up to 90 km/h (56 mph).
- DYNAMIC: Focuses on sporty driving with AWD Boost mode up to 40 km/h (25 mph).
- NATURAL: Balances comfort and efficiency, engaging AWD as needed between 0–90 km/h (0–56 mph).
- ADVANCED EFFICIENCY: Optimizes fuel economy while activating AWD when necessary, similar to NATURAL mode.
Comfort Meets Performance –
The Junior Ibrida Q4 is not just powerful but also refined. The rear suspension features a multilink design, ensuring exceptional handling and ride quality, even on rough roads. The hybrid system enables short-distance, low-speed driving in electric-only mode, making it perfect for urban environments.
Availability and Appeal –
German customers can expect to see this stylish and versatile model in dealerships by April 2025. It’s yet another example of Alfa Romeo’s commitment to innovation while staying true to its high-performance roots.
