Alfa Romeo Gives Us A Sneak Peak At The 2020 Giulia & Stelvio:
Alfa Romeo China, Updates Website With Pictures & Information...
Just the other day, we told you about some of the new updates that were in the works for the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models. Now, Alfa Romeo has placed some interesting new photos and information up, on the brand’s China website. So for the first time, we are getting a good look at what is in store for the upcoming model year.
While both the Giulia and the Stelvio are great performance vehicles with exceptional rides already, the biggest complaint from the MoparInsiders.com staff has been the current dreadful infotainment options. Unlike the core Mopar brands and the FCA Italian brands of FIAT and Maserati, the Alfa Romeo models did not feature the cutting-edge Uconnect-based infotainment systems. Instead, the systems lacked touchscreen abilities, truly high-res graphics, and operated with a rotary dial that was clumsy to operate for quick operation of the current system’s settings. That changes in 2020, with the new 8.8-inch color touchscreen.
The new 8.8-inch color touchscreen still is not related to the class-leading Uconnect infotainment systems that we have all come to love but does look light years ahead of the current system that is being offered. Graphics look very crisp and high-res compared to the 2017 to 2019 systems as well. We can’t wait to get our hands on the new 2020 models to see just how user-friendly these new infotainment systems are.
The Chinese website also gives us some quick glimpses of the interior updates as well. Both vehicles get a new steering wheel design, with more of a sporty look to go along with the overall performance themes of the vehicles. The center console has been redone and now features wireless charging capabilities for cellphone devices for the first time as well as a new button layout. A new center armrest design can also be seen, showcasing a universal rounded shape compared to the current car’s angled one that has to be altered depending on what side the steering wheel is on the vehicle, globally.
We also are getting some looks at the exterior changes. Both vehicles don’t look to have changed much on the outside, however, there has been some minor updating features. Some of the new wheel designs on the 2020 models, really stand out compared to the 2019 model year options. The most striking exterior update goes to the Stelvio, where some of the mid-range trim levels will get body-colored fender flares like the ones found on the Quadrifoglio, giving the vehicle an even more sporty and athletic look. New trim model fender badges can also be seen present on certain models.
The website also confirms what our sources were telling us, in our most recent Alfa Romeo update about the addition of some new technology offers to be present in 2020. Starting with the new Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Our sources are telling us that Alfa Romeo should be releasing more information about both models in about a week, so stay tuned to MoparInsiders.com for more information as it breaks.
