As the brand’s first electrified entry and a vehicle that will ultimately lead the “charge” for the Abarth brand, there is a lot of focus on the all-new Abarth 500e battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
In past weeks, a leaked image of the Abarth 500e hit the interwebs showing us the aggressive new front styling of the new electrified model. Then this past week, the first fully-camouflage model hit the street as Stellantis engineers are working hard to put the final touches on the subcompact performance car.
But earlier this morning, we learned that Abarth will officially unveil the car on Tuesday, November 22nd.
The big event will be hosted LIVE on Abarth’s social media channels, as well as, here on MoparInsiders.com at 8:00 a.m. EST / 2:00 p.m. CET.
The current Abarth 595 produced 177 horsepower from its 1.4-liter FIRE inline-four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The FIRE engine will propel the 595 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds.
However, according to recent leaks, the new electrified model might be sporting 200 horsepower thanks to its new e-motor setup. The current 500e has a range of 320 kilometers (199 miles), we believe that the Abarth model could be similar.
We look forward to the unveiling to find out more about Stellantis smallest performance vehicle.
