Nearly 79,000 Jeep® Wranglers Recalled for TPMS Warning Light Issue

Wranglers Face Inspection Over Pinched Antenna Cable Affecting TPMS Sensors

Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 78,989 units of 2024 to 2025 Jeep® Wrangler (JL) vehicles due to a remote start antenna cable that may be pinched. This defect can cause the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light to fail to illuminate as intended. As such, these vehicles do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 138, “Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems.”

A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of a problem increases the risk of a crash.

The suspect period began on April 30, 2023, when the first 2024 MY vehicle was produced, and ended on December 20, 2024, when the last suspect vehicle was produced. Engineering release and vehicle manufacturing records were used to determine the suspect population.

Similar vehicles not included in the recall were either not equipped with the remote start feature, were built after the suspect period, or have exceeded 12 months in service.

Recall Chronology –

  • On October 22, 2024, the FCA US LLC Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) organization opened an investigation into certain 2024–2025 MY Jeep Wrangler vehicles that may have a pinched antenna cable resulting in a TPMS indicator light issue in the cluster.

  • From October 2024 through June 2025, FCA US TSRC reviewed warranty data, vehicle production records, and customer assistance records. FCA US TSRC also met with engineering and the manufacturing plant to understand the root cause.

  • On July 23, 2025, FCA US TSRC determined that a vehicle build issue existed on certain vehicles related to a pinched antenna cable, potentially resulting in noncompliance with FMVSS No. 138.

  • On August 7, 2025, FCA US, through its Vehicle Regulations Committee, confirmed that a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 138 potentially existed on all affected vehicles.
