2026 Ram 1500 Warlock Brings Back Pentastar V6 And HEMI V8
More Choices Return To Ram’s Off-Road Bargain Truck

Ram fans, take note—there’s good news coming out of Auburn Hills. After a brief stint offering just the HURRICANE inline-six, the 2026 Ram 1500 Warlock is officially getting two more engine options for the new model year: the trusty Pentastar V6 and the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8.
We were recently invited to the Chrysler Technical Center (CTC), where Ram confirmed the expansion of the Warlock’s powertrain lineup. For anyone keeping track, this is a bit of a comeback story. Ram dropped both the Pentastar and HEMI from the Warlock trim back in 2024. That left 2025 buyers with only one engine: the twin-turbo 3.0-liter HURRICANE Standard-Output (S/O) inline-six.
But that changes for 2026.
Three Engines, One Tough Truck –

Here’s how the powertrain lineup breaks down for the 2026 Warlock:
-
3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque: 305 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft. of torque
-
3.0-liter HURRICANE S/O I6: 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque
-
5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque: 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque
The Pentastar V6 becomes the standard engine, offering strong performance and better fuel economy thanks to its eTorque mild-hybrid system. The HURRICANE, while more expensive by $1,695, delivers class-leading power and torque. If you still crave V8 muscle, the HEMI returns as a $1,200 upgrade over the HURRICANE.
Ram says the HURRICANE is still their engine of choice performance-wise, but they’re listening to their customers—offering the V6 and HEMI means giving buyers more control over what powers their trucks.
Warlock Package: Rebel Gear, Budget Price –

The Warlock still packs a lot of bang for the buck. Based on the Tradesman trim, it borrows the Rebel’s off-road upgrades—Bilstein shocks, skid plates, a 1-inch lift, tow hooks, and Selec-Speed Control. You also get LED lighting, blacked-out trim, and 18-inch black wheels for that aggressive look.
Inside, there’s an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and plenty of comfort features like remote start, adaptive cruise, and second-row in-floor storage. Black cloth seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel come standard, but heated seats, side steps, and a spray-in bedliner are optional.
Still No Pricing, But Stay Tuned –

Ram hasn’t released pricing for the 2026 Warlock yet, but we expect it to remain one of the most affordable off-road pickups in the segment, especially with a V6 standard and three distinct engine choices to match your budget and driving style.
Whether you’re in it for the V6 efficiency, the HEMI’s rumble, or the HURRICANE’s punch, the 2026 Warlock now gives you the freedom to choose.
