The 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten has redefined the standards for luxury and functionality in light-duty pickups, earning it the prestigious 2024 Wards 10-Best Interiors & UX award. Combining upscale design with superior comfort, this truck offers the rugged capability expected of a Ram with the refined experience of a luxury sedan.
Ram has a reputation for innovative interiors, and the Tungsten trim takes it to new heights. The Indigo-Sea Salt interior features stitched leather seats and armrests, complemented by platinum-patina metallic accents. The attention to detail is evident with V-shaped stitching on the center console, seats, and the upper instrument panel, adding a touch of sophistication.
One of the standout features is the Tungsten’s advanced technology. The 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 center touchscreen provides a central hub for controls, backed by physical knobs for essential functions. The driver information cluster, a 12.3-inch digital display, offers an array of menus and customization options. Additionally, a 10.25-inch passenger-side screen enhances convenience and entertainment for the co-pilot.
Uconnect 5, paired with the new Atlantis electronic architecture, ensures that the truck’s operating system is fast and responsive. This makes interacting with the vehicle’s controls smooth and intuitive. For long trips, the Hands-free Driving Assist Level 2+ allows for hands-free driving on mapped interstates, while Active Driving Assist offers supportive lane keeping and speed control on other routes.
Under the hood, the new twin-turbo I-6 engine provides a quieter ride compared to the traditional HEMI V8. This, combined with extensive sound-deadening insulation, creates a serene cabin environment. For audiophiles, the 1,228-watt, 23-speaker Klipsch audio system delivers exceptional sound quality, enough to trigger an Apple Watch “Loud Environment” alert.
The Ram 1500 Tungsten’s balance of luxury and functionality impressed the judges. “It may sound incongruous, but I actually felt pampered at the wheel of a truck more than 19 feet long and weighing 7,100 pounds,” commented judge Jim Irwin. This blend of comfort, advanced technology, and high-end materials distinguishes the Tungsten as a top contender in the luxury truck market.
