2023 Chrysler 300S V8 Will Continue To Offer HEMI Power For Those Who Want It!
Alternative For Those Who Weren't Able To Get A 300C Limited Edition...
With its recent unveiling of the 2023 Chrysler 300C Limited Edition, the Chrysler brand announced the end of HEMI engines in its passenger car lineup after 2023. It didn’t take long for all 2,200 units of the limited run of 6.4-liter (392 cubic inch) HEMI V8 sedans to be snatched up by the public, thus showing a continuous love for V8-power and rear-wheel drive.
But for those who weren’t available to get their hands on one, the 2023 Chrysler 300S continues to offer the 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI V8 under its hood. Delivering 363 horsepower and 394 lb.-ft. of torque, the Chrysler 300S continues to make a statement through its SRT-based good looks, a luxurious large interior, and a number of features that continue to be at the forefront of its segment.
The 5.7-liter HEMI is no slouch either, with the ability to run from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6-seconds. That is done by a smooth, but super fast shifting 8-speed 8HP70 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. With the “Sport” mode activated, the 300S reduces shift times from approximately 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, increases engine and throttle responsiveness, and makes firmer steering feel for more feedback.
HEMI-powered 300S models offer a performance-tuned suspension with increased spring rates, performance-tuned steering and bushings, larger sway bars, and Goodyear Eagle F1 three-season tires are available for drivers who want more handling capability.
The 300S brings a more sport-oriented feel to the 300 Series, with the addition of paddle shifters, Sport mode, blacked-out exterior accents, 20-inch x 8-inch Black Noise aluminum wheels, leather-wrapped sport seats, exclusive Piano Black interior accents, and 9-speaker Alpine audio system with surround sound, 506-watt amplifier, and a trunk-mounted subwoofer.
