This Company Is Building 10 Carbon Fiber Bodied 1969 Dodge Charger Replicas:

Getting The Retro Charger Look With Modern Technology...

One of the most common e-mails and comments that we see on MoparInsiders is the desire for Dodge to build a two door version of the modern Dodge Charger. While the current Dodge Challenger could technically be considered a two door version of the Charger as the Challenger rides on a modified Charger platform and shares powertrains, there is a strong desire to see a retro-inspired two door Charger with looks similar to the wildly desirable 1969 Charger.

In comes Six12 Autoworx the Nanuet, New York-based company, which is building a limited number of Dodge Challengers with full carbon fiber bodies inspired by the 1969 Dodge Charger. First unveiled at the 2018 SEMA show as a one-off build for DJ Funkmaster Flex, Six12 Autoworx partnered with Common Fibers, Speedkore and Magnaflow to build an all-new one-off carbon fiber body which was then grafted onto a 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat platform. With a four-inch wider track and a two-inch lower roofline, the car looked aggressive and was an instant hit.

Later in 2019, Six12 Autoworx sold another Challenger with their full custom carbon fiber bodykit at the Mecum auction in Harrisburg, PA. The company returned to the 2019 SEMA show with yet another of their carbon fiber bodied Charger throwbacks and announced that they would be producing 10 of the unique cars for 2020. If you are interested in securing one for yourself, you can give Six12 Autoworx a call at 845 501 7562 or send them an email at: [email protected]
