2020 Ram 1500 Production Mix For The U.S. Market:

What Are The Popular Configurations For November Production?

Thanks to our dealer contacts, we have gotten a look at the rough production estimates for what the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) will be cranking out for November 2019 production. While there aren’t any exact numbers, the production mix allows us to get a good look at which configurations are the most popular for the month. This is usually based more on dealer inventory orders placed prior to the production month but is very interesting nonetheless.

According to Ram Trucks to its dealer body, here is what the production for November 2019 will look like from SHAP (this list is based on U.S. orders and does not include the Canadian-exclusive Ram 1500 Sport or export models)…

Models:

  • Tradesman – 1%
  • Big Horn/Lone Star – 44%
  • Rebel – 8%
  • Laramie – 29%
  • Laramie Longhorn – 3%
  • Limited – 15%

Powertrains:

  • 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque – 1%
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V8 – 65%
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V8 eTorque – 12%
  • 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 – 22%

Cab Configurations:

  • Quad Cab – 13%
  • Crew Cab – 87%

Drivetrain:

  • 4×2 – 8%
  • 4×4 – 92%

So it appears to be that dealers are stocking up on the popular Big Horn/LoneStar models in November, as well as 5.7-liter HEMI V8-equipped trucks as well as the new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel pickups. Unfortunately, we don’t have numbers on the Canadian-exclusive Ram 1500 Sport which would be interesting considering that is Canada’s most popular model.
