Back in January, we showed you that the Jeep® brand is returning the Wrangler Rubicon Recon edition to the iconic SUV’s lineup and equipping it with the powerful and efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with eTorque mild hybrid technology. The Recon edition is based on the Wrangler Rubicon and features unique exterior and interior content. Well, now the Recon has arrived on dealer lots across the country.
This marks the first time that the Rubicon Recon edition has been offered on the newest generation of Jeep Wrangler (JL). This Bright White Unlimited model is located at our friends at Megee Motors in Georgetown, Delaware.
Exterior features include heavy-duty rock rails, LED headlights and taillights, gloss black grille with body-color surrounds, Recon fender badge, matte black fender vent decal with American flag, new 17-inch aluminum wheels with a black finish, a matte black hood stripe decal with red tracer, front and rear steel bumpers with bumper loops, as well as Rubicon gray grille throats and headlamp inserts.
Inside, there is the addition of a Jeep® trail bag, red seat belts, and PUR-wrapped mid-bolsters featuring red accent stitching.
All Wrangler Rubicon Recon models feature next-generation Dana front and rear heavy-duty axles, enhanced off-road rock rails and the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio. Wrangler Rubicon Recon also includes electric front and rear locking differentials, a disconnecting front sway bar and 33-inch Falken Wildpeak Mud-Terrain tires, taking the Wrangler to the highest level of capability.
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon edition will be offered in Black, Granite Crystal, Sting-Gray, Billet Silver, Ocean Blue, Sarge, Bikini, Firecracker Red, Punk’n, Hellayella, and Bright White.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon has an MSRP of $43,380 for the two-door model and $46,880 for the four-door version. For more information, contact your local Jeep dealer for ordering and inventory availability.
