In 1976 Dodge launched the Warlock package for their pickup trucks as part of their “adult toys” line, the Warlock gave buyers a factory custom truck that was targeted towards younger buyers. The Warlock featured bucket seats, unique wheels, fat tires along with chrome running boards and real oak sideboards.
Fast forward to 2019 and Ram Truck has just introduced the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock package. With an MSRP starting at $35,345 plus destination the Warlock again offers buyers a custom factory truck for a budget-friendly price. Available in Quad Cab 6’4 bed or Crew Cab 5’7 configurations the Warlock comes standard with the award-winning 305 horsepower Pentastar V6. The 395 HP 5.7 Hemi V8 and four-wheel drive are optional.
Rams new Warlock starts with it’s look lifted straight from the 2018 Ram Rebel (aside from the wheels) and added functional features over other 2019 Ram 1500 Classic models. Adding to that look is a factory installed 1-inch lift, tow hooks, ParkSense rear park assist and Ram 1500 Classic’s Luxury Group that includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, overhead console, 7-inch cluster display, LED bed lighting and power folding mirrors. Customers can also add a heated bench or bucket seats, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, black side steps, and a spray-in bed liner. Unlike the 2018 Ram Rebel, the Warlock rides on 20-inch gloss black wheels and Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires, shared with the Express trim.
“The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is proof positive that value never goes out of style,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand, FCA. “With its sinister monochromatic exterior, award-winning interior and great price, this mean machine is certain to resonate positively with consumers.”
The Warlock will be on sale late in the first quarter of this year and available in Blue Streak, Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Diamond Black, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel, Pearl White, and True Blue.
