YouTuber Launches Ram TRX Over Small Creek And Damage Ensues:

Pushing A TRX To The Limits...

When the Ram Truck brand unveiled its new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, engineers touted the performance off-roader’s jump ability. While we have seen various pictures from the press events showing the TRX getting an incredible amount of hang time in the air in a controlled environment, the TRX has now reached the hands of the public.

One of the first customers to receive his new TRX was popular YouTuber StreetSpeed717. Last night, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel about jumping his TRX for the first time. Instead of the light jumps, we saw the press and Ram Trucks do over and over, StreetSpeed717 decided to “Dukes of Hazzard” the 6,396 lb. TRX over a small creek and landing on a slightly uphill-sloped clearing.

The result was an impressive amount of air, with a rough enough landing to do quite a bit of damage to the 702 horsepower off-roader. Surprisingly, despite the cosmetic damage, the TRX has no problem running and driving after showing that the TRX’s “Jump Detection” system truly works.

Jump Detection uses wheel-speed and ride-height sensors and accelerometers at each corner to identify when the vehicle is airborne and acts to prevent driveline-damaging power spikes. Acting in milliseconds, Jump Detection modifies engine speed and torque, gear selection, transfer case torque split, damping rates, and other powertrain and suspension components through the landing to deliver the optimum performance.

Nevertheless, while the damage was enough to make most TRX owners cringe, it goes to show how tough the TRX truly is. To see the total damage done, click the video above to see the ending result.

So, why are we intentionally damaging a new truck? Doesn't this guy have anything better to do? Donate the truck instead to charity to help someone during this time of extraordinary need! Just another example of childish excess.

Yeah, I was extremely disappointed in him for this.

This guy has always been a moron. Just another dummy with more money than sense ruining a perfectly good truck. But to be honest, doesn’t everyone love to watch stupid people do stupid things?
