You Could Own This Hellcat-Powered 1989 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer:

The Jeep® "Hellwagon" Will Cross The Auction Block At The End Of The Month...

Back in December, we discussed an awesome Hellcat build featuring a 1989 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer (SJ), built by Black Mountain Jeep. Starting with a perfect example of a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, painted in the rare 4B (Bright Red) paint code, the team at Black Mountain Jeep, yanked out the old, underpowered 5.9-liter AMC V8 and dropped in a Hellcrate 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

Using Trackhawk exhaust manifolds, a custom oil pan, along with custom mounts, were needed to fit the Hellcat engine in the old Wagoneer, but the result looks almost factory. The rest of the drivetrain is stock, down to the 3-speed automatic transmission and factory Jeep transfer case, which is surprising as the Hellcat V8 develops an extra 563 horsepower and 370 lb.-ft. of torque over the old AMC engine.

The paint and bodywork are all original, and when the team at Black Mountain Jeep had the body-off the frame to fit the engine, they cleaned and re-coated the chassis and underbody. The result is the ultimate sleeper vehicle, that you could only imagine in video games like Forza Motorsport 7. This Jeep is guaranteed to put a smile on your face, as Dennis Collins shows in the video below.

Now, you can have a chance at owning the famed “Hellwagon”, as it will be crossing the Mecum Auction block at the end of the month in Kissimmee, Florida. The event will continue on with social distancing being put in place. The Hellwagon is scheduled to cross the block on Saturday, August 29th.
