VIDEO: We Took Our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk To The Drag Strip:
Getting Used To A New Vehicle, But There Is A Lot Of Potential Here...
Last Wednesday, I managed to get our new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk out to the drag strip for some quarter-mile passes. While we have only had the vehicle in our possession for five days, I was eager to get it out to the strip for some all-out launches and see if this all-wheel drive HELLCAT-powered Jeep would beat our best times with our old 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 in the quarter-mile.
While I did have some teething issues getting used, our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ran an 11.967, 11.976, 11.917 and a 12.38 with me spinning really badly out of the hole. Unfortunately, track prep wasn’t great during the evening, along with some car putting oil down on the track which ate up quite a bit of time for more runs. But the good news is, the Trackhawk has already just barely beat our best time of 11.923 in our old 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320.
I can tell there is definitely a lot more left in the Trackhawk and look forward to seeing what we can run out at Grand Bend Motorplex next weekend. We have a ton more videos coming for you on our Trackhawk, including our cross country road trip and a few modifications we have up our sleeves for next weekends event, so make sure you’re subscribed to our YouTube channel to see it all first.
